Love the built in hooks and the quality seems great after a couple of weeks. Everything about it is great - but, it certainly doesn’t let water pass through easily. Expect a lot of puddling and sagging. It might go through eventually, but it won’t be fast. When it pours, it will let about 10% through easily. The rest will sag and weigh down the whole shade, hopefully not bending poles or breaking clasps. Even after two hours from when the rain stopped there is still a small puddle in the middle of the shade that just sits there. Fabric dries out and snaps back to original shape though. Only had it a couple weeks however, I fear it may slowly bend the metal poles I concreted in, because water is heavy. Will wait and see.

Appears to be well made, easy installation over existing patio pergola. I'm interested in how well it will stand up to the sun, is I can get a couple summers out of it I will be happy.

Compared to my other coolaroo shade canopies, it’s really hard to put up and won’t tighten, even with turnbuckles. The edges really bow in, and I can’t get one side tight no matter what I do. It’s staying up for now, but I wouldn’t order another (and I have 5 from coolaroo). Won’t try a bargain brand again.

The sun screen/sail is working out well. It's temporary installation will be made permanent (using the hardware kit) very shortly and I will be ordering another, larger screen for an adjacent area.Would recommend it to others.Thanks,JP

Provides good shade from sun. It is not water proof.

Does a very nice job of blocking the sun on my deck in St. Thomas, USVI. I've only had it up for one season, but it looks brand new and gets compliments whenever someone visits. I wish I had bought it sooner!
