Great product and customer service
I did a lot of research and reviews before I brought this product. Couldn’t be happier. It fits my space ideally, matches the color of another gate and far sturdier than the last cheaper fence I had. With a quick loosening of the screw locks it can folded up or converted to a play pen. What is more impressive, when the gate arrived, the shipper damaged the box and inside the a screw lock joint was broken. I contacted the seller through Amazon and they quickly identified a replacement part and sent it to me and was able to fix it easily. Will keep this for years and expect pass it on to others. It’s a good buy.

Perfect Catio Gate
We actually used this to make a catio outside! Our two cats are seniors so it's perfect for them (not sure I'd recommend for young cats who can still jump high). It took me 20 minutes to pull out and set up. There are no written instructions (just pictures). You basically have to take out the poles on either end of each segment, arrange it, and then put the polls back in. To open the gate, you have to pull the latch back and lift UP on the gate (kind of like a baby gate).Lots of people have complained that this breaks easily and maybe if you try to arrange it without taking out the polls, it could break the plastic hinges. However, this gate seems pretty study to me and it's heavy enough that my 20 pound dog won't be knocking it over anytime soon. I think it's an attractive fence! Glad we gave it a shot.

Safe and sturdy! -- UPDATE (PIECE OF CRAP)
As you can see in the photos we're using this around our wood stove. We bought it to keep our 17-month-old safe. Contrary to other reviewers' experiences we received a very intact product. My husband took it out of the box, we played with the positioning and ended up only using 7-panels out of the 8. For reference our hearth pad is 48'' and our wood stove door is about two feet. We can swing the door all the way open. The corners of all the panels can be tightened to lock the gate in place. Our daughter is not gentle and she hasn't been able to move it. The door, when locked, is very secure. The lock is at the top and I don't think a toddler could figure out how to open it. The gate, directly in front of the wood stove, gets warm but it is by no means hot. I don't worry at all that baby hands could get burned. We screwed the gate to our walls for extra stability. All the pieces we needed came in the box and we had no broken pieces. Overall it keeps our daughter safe and we couldn't be happier.UPDATE:The gate (purchased in 2018) in these pictures is still perfect and still being used; HOWEVER, we bought another one (2021), same size, and it is a GIANT heap of junk. Every corner of every gate panel has cracked and split apart from the panel next to it. It's just a giant duct taped gate at this point. I'm not sure if we got a defective gate or this is the quality of them now but the difference between the first gate purchased and the most recent is night and day. I'm really disappointed. For the price, this really shouldn't be an issue.

Decent Gate
I was excited about this gate because it was one of the only ones I could find that would actually span the distance we required. I also liked the fact that it wasn't white because the darker color goes much better with our house. Upon receiving the gate, I was a little disappointed to find that several of the pieces were scratched so silver was showing through the black finish.Upon looking at the directions, I found they were not descriptive in the least, really giving no adequate instructions about how to take apart the various pieces of how to attach it to the wall. In addition to not being descriptive, the descriptions that were included were clearly not written by a native English speaking person making them even more unclear and difficult to decipher. That said, it is fairly intuitive if you use some common sense and have even a modicum of skill when it comes to hands on projects.I was not surprised by the drywall anchors that were included as these cheap plastic ones are often what comes with pre-packaged pieces. However, for the one side where I had to use anchors, I used my own metal screw in anchors that are much stronger and have a high weight rating as I know my son is a bit of a tank and tries to bulldoze his way through things. On the other side I was able to go directly into a stud, but this was frustrating too as the included screws really aren't long enough to get through drywall and then properly anchor into a stud. This was not an issue for me as I have a large selection of screws at home so I just took some 2.5" ones and drilled them in instead of those that were included. As of yet, doing things this way has been acceptable. The one thing that I really do like about the way the pieces attach to the wall is that they are adjustable on the pole so I was able to move the bottom one up high enough to put it just above my baseboards rather than having to put screws through the baseboards as some other gates require. Finally, I like the idea that you can lock off the different sections so you can keep them in a certain position, but there are two issues. First, the poles that have the wall attachment pieces have no way to lock off so those two spots are always moving back and forth, which makes the whole thing less secure. Second, the lock-offs are not as tight as they should be. My son just turned one and is only 20 lbs, but was able to push on the gate hard enough to push through the lock-off on one of the sections, causing it to move. This is not a huge deal, but is somewhat concerning. Due to the mobility of the gate caused by the above two issues, I also had to place felt sliders on the bottom of all the legs to keep the gate from scratching my floor when our son does push on it.One thing that is really nice is the gate that opens in both directions. We have another, smaller gate at the top of our stairs where the gate only opens in one direction. This was a little frustrating when we first got it (we had that one first), but since I have been using this double-sided gate, the other one is even more aggravating. The dual swing really is a nice attribute. Overall, this gate definitely has some deficiencies, but for an extra-large gate, this does work fairly well.

Easy to set up and sturdy
This gate was easy to assemble. Almost completely assembled in the box. I'm using it to block of the stairway to go down stairs. The gate is designed to be all the way open or else it self closes. This is a great feature make sure the gate doesn't get accidentally left open. The toddler has already rattled the gate and it hasn't gone anywhere, though I probably should eventually zip tie it to the spindles. As my stair case doesn't have much to mount a gate to, this self standing gate was a great option for me. I don't know why I had such a hard time finding it, but I'm happy I did. Each gate wall can be snapped in or unsnapped by an adult. There is a push pin on the top and the bottom of each side of the fencing to remove a wall. I am only using 4 of the five panels.

Decent quality, bad mounting system quality
The fence and the gate are actually really good, although the door is so skinny it’s awkward to walk through. The mounts are very cheap and the screws supplied all stripped without any force. Use your own screws with this.
