Elegance Hammered Salad Bowl – Double Wall Insulated Serving Bowl (11.5” Dia)

This is a beautiful Bowl perfect size and being insulated has multiple uses. Hot or cold. I get a lot of compliments on it. I just freaking love it. It actually is the perfect size for a dinner table. And one thing I like about it most is when I make shrimp creole or seafood gumbo or a stew or risotto and I put it in this bowl and set it on the table while we are eating, the remainder still stays warm way longer than compared to other bowls so no cold seconds. Putting it in the freezer for a few minutes before I fill it with tossed salad keeps the salad fresh longer and cool. This is a beautiful bowl with a purpose. Did I say I love it? Well I'm saying it again. If the temperature of served food is important to you or even if you just want something modern looking and elegant but has a purpose you have yet to use, you should try this bowl out. Worth every penny. If I had a use I would buy more of them but I really only need one. But recently I have just found that my really nice serving bowls sit right in this. You actually could put hot water in this and set your serving Bowl down into it and it will keep the food warmer longer yet will not burn your hands while you carry it to the table. Obviously the whole idea of an insulated Bowl is to keep things either hot or cold longer. This works great. And it really is handsome and unique looking.

I love this bowl!! I have the 11” round one. We eat healthier and save money because of it. First, it’s beautiful! Second, we all eat more fruits and vegetables because I keep it filled in in the refrigerator with washed fruit or veggies where it can be reached and often put it on the counter during the day so we can grab and go. Third, it keeps food cold longer, like having a mini fridge on your countertop. Great when we eat outside in summer. Fourth, it’s wide and low so it fits in our refrigerator shelf easily. Fifth, it saves lots of money! So much fruit spoiled in the fridge where it sat until it was dug out and washed, that we regularly lost a third of it. Washed fruit spoils faster, but I find that if I wash it, dry it thoroughly, and keep it in the bowl either out or at the front of the fridge, we eat so much more that by the time any fruit spoils, most of it is gone! Grab an apple, some grapes, or a lime for drinks, and go. In fact, grapes, pears, and mandarins etc. last maybe five times longer sitting in it in the fridge. And did I say it’s a work of art?

Got this to replace a large (very large) ceramic bowl my wife uses for making salads (for just us two). I thought it was nice enough looking and would be large enough. Turns out, it is certainly large enough, but my wife won't use it. She says it's TOO nice! So she's stuck it away in a cupboard only to be brought out for parties and stuff when we have company over. It is not very heavy but heavier than I expected, Has a nice feel to it. lays level, etc. This was an excellent buy. One of those that surpass expectations. We were also able to find a salad fork and spoon that match it (at a local brick-and-mortar retailer). Highly recommend*. *Note: I really haven't USED it yet so this is just an expectation it will be as good in use as looks.

This bowl is beautiful and it keeps your food cold for 3 to 4 hours. I did put it in the freezer to cool it down before I put in the potato salad but it kept it cold and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. It held a large fill container of potato salad from Sam’s club.

This bowl is perfect in every way except one. It looks great, it is deep, it keeps the food warm longer. BUT Once you are done when the bowl cools down enough the bottom of the bowl jumps and it sounds like an extremely loud gong. I’ve had this happen anywhere from 1 min to 2 hours after use. It’s loud enough to hear it all over the house. This happens when you put hot food in too, but the food muffles the sound so it isn’t too bad. This is a secondary consideration so I still give the bowl 4 stars. But I would prefer that this didn’t wake up my kids anymore.
