Does 'lead safe' mean lead free?

This is a "drinking water" hose. If that's to be believed then it must also be a "lead free" hose. Otherwise this is the best RV supply hose I've ever used. It's very light-weight, takes up very little space when stored and is easy to coil (more like a rope than an hose).

My lab keeps chewing my hose! Will this one last?

Yes. Ironically this hose leaks like a sive under normal circumstances, but surprisingly it appears to be completely dog proof. Dogs hate it, especially labs! Zero G has developed a proprietary hose "taste" that works as a repellent to dogs of all breeds — and yes, especially labs! Please note that the hose will start leaking from both connections long before Rex even gets a whiff of the Zero G stench, so it really doesn't matter one way or the other. Try this; retain your existing hose, and keep Rex in a different location than the hose. I use this method with my wife and I haven't had to replace my hose for a good 3 years. Best of show!

What is the weight for the 25 foot and the 50 foot hose?

Not sure about the 25 ft but the 50 ft is about 5 lbs. Much lighter than traditional hoses.

Is there a trick to this hose? Hooked it up and both ends fell off immediately

You must have a defective hose they hold up well for me. Noticed them in commercial applications also
