Better than expected
Easy to configure and set up, it is louder enough to caught our attention but not enough to drive us crazy. It has a comfortable size and we are very pleased with it. As you can see im not reviewing upon arrival, wanted to give it some time and is still working wonderfully. Might buy a whole set of them soon.

A great invention
The resource of time is thankfully saved by not having to use time to locate items when difficulty finding them occurs. Also financial resources are saved from unecessarily buying needed unlocated items .

Buy apple airtag instead!!!!
Setup was easy and and it looks good as key ring. Features mentioned by the manufacturer works well but not reliable.Selfie button works well. Community search feature is waste ad not many crowd uses this. Also the coverage range is very less. Even with Chipolo crowd its difficult to find if it gets lost or out of coverage range.Sweet suggestion: Buy Apple airtag for the same price.

Husband approves!
I got 3 of these for my husband who has a tendency for misplacing his "trifecta" (a.k.a. keys, wallet, and phone). I had gotten him similar products from Lapa ages ago, but we found the Lapa brand products at that time had unreliable connection, no low battery notifications, and very muffled volume. We also had them long enough that the outer cases got quite damaged and eventually the actual devices stopped working (even with new batteries), so I thought I'd give this newer brand a try.Between my husband and I, I'm usually the one who goes through instruction manuals and sets up the electronics. With the Chipolo, my husband got all 3 up and running on his own within the first 15 minutes of opening the first box. When I asked him how it went, he said, "It was incredibly easy!" The packaging prompts you to download the necessary app to your phone, and then the app walks you through the entire setup process as well as a quick how-to on paging your Chipolo with your phone, and vice versa.Getting the Chipolo on a conventional keyring was a bit finicky, but doable. The white Chipolo did get a bit scuffed from the friction between the keyring. It fits well on a mini S-carabiner type attachment (if you want a means of switching the Chipolo between different items more easily). I think Chipolo sells a device specifically designed for a wallet, but my husband did try using one of these circular ones in his wallet. It is a bit bulky and shows through his thinner wallet, but does seem to do the trick if he needs to page it.Overall, we are both quite pleased with Chipolo. While the network is smaller than other more established brands (like Tile), Chipolo fits our needs of finding my husband's items within/around our house and vehicles. It has connected and paged reliably during our test runs so far. (My husband hasn't misplaced anything since we got the Chipolo, so I'll update accordingly if we ever have to use it for a real paging scenario.)

Needs to be more competitively priced; seems to work as I'd expect
I've been using Bluetooth trackers for several years and keep them on things like backpacks, keys, and hidden in e-scooters/bikes, etc. They have already been helpful in recovering lost items, so there's strong merit to using them.Unfortunately, with so many brands out there, it's hard to choose one to invest in.I was not familiar with the Chipolo brand until I got this tracker. I love their style and presentation, and they keep things fun and easy to understand. As with other Bluetooth trackers, you will need to use an app to manage these trackers. The Chipolo app was easy to install and set up on Android. However, I'm **not** a fan of their use of my name and email address being used for advertising and marketing through third-party companies, which is what Chipolo does.I value privacy, especially in the context of digital products and services, so this already doesn't sit well with me. By comparison, their competitor, Tile, does not share this data with third-parties.Pairing the Chipolo One was very easy and took seconds. After that, you get to name the tracker so it's easy to identify. It comes with features like "share" your tracker, alerts when your tracker is out of range (usually a paid option with other brands), and the ability to use your tracker to find your phone (which can be disabled). The map tab shows your paired trackers and their last known location. There is an option to mark a tag as lost, and if I understand correctly, other Chipolo users will be able to anonymously ping the tracker and notify you when it's been found. This is how other trackers work, although, there's no way of knowing how many other Chipolo users there are in a certain area (Tile gives you an approximate figure). The more users, the better the chance that your tracker will be located, which is why Apple's Airtags are among the "best" (more users).I do like the size of the Chipolo One and really love that you can swap the battery out for a regular CR2032, which is very common and inexpensive. My biggest complaint, is the price. Currently, a single Chipolo costs nearly as much as an Apple Airtag and more than a Tile tracker. If I had to choose between three similarly priced trackers, especially since you'd generally be looking at using more than just one, I'd go with one of the other brands that have more users, simply because it increases the chance of recovering my lost item.I think that if the Chipolo One was $25 (approx. $10 less than other trackers), it would make it more attractive.I know that Chipolo does have a 4 pack, which brings the price down to around that mark, so it's worth looking at.

Great System; Little Pricey.
I really like these. A lot. I have them on all of my keys, and so far they have saved me some time when trying to locate them, as well as my phone once.Like most adults, I have a lot of keys. 2 sets of car keys. Motorcycle keys. House keys. I have a busy life, and despite my best efforts to put things back in the same place, I periodically am in a rush and fail to do so. Normally I would waste 10~15 minutes looking, and that was that. These tags make that a 30 second endeavor. The basics, you install an app on your phone, you connect the tag with the app on your phone, and from there it uses bluetooth and the gps on your phone to keep track of the tag. It logs the last location the tag was seen, and even better, it can make the tag emit a little jingle once you are in range, that makes locating them super simple. Go to the last location the tag was seen, see if connects to the phone, and if it does have it ring. Further, if you have the tag, but can't find your phone, double clicking on the tag triggers your phone to play a jingle. That is dependent on notification volume, and if your phone is muted you're out of luck. It is a feature that helped my locate my phone when my kids dropped a pillow on top of it.You can even replace the battery in the tag very easily, which is a simple CR2032 and readily available. The battery will apparently last a year or more, which I haven't tested, but so far I have had no problems. My only complaint is the cost. These are pricey. Do yourself a favor, if you need more than 1, buy the 4 pack; it's basically buy 3 get 1 free.

Bluetooth Tracker, Not GPS – good in specific situations
I have this device in blue and in white. This is the same review for both items. The Chipolo Bluetooth tracker helps you track and find your stuff. However, it requires an active bluetooth connection with a device running the Chipolo App. It is best for tracking lost things such as purses, keys and phones. A GPS tracker is best for things such as luggage and vehicles and other items frequently or easily taken out of bluetooth range. It requires an app for almost all its features. What it does: - Tells you where it’s been (providing it had bluetooth during transit and connected to Chipolo app) - Tells you where it is now via app (providing it has bluetooth and connected to a chipolo app) - Alarms if you get out of bluetooth range (60 meters) or if you trigger alarm within bluetooth range - Triggers your smartphone camera to take a selfie via the chipolo app - Makes your misplaced cell phone ring. (double click) - Works with Google, Alexa, Siri assistant to ring the chipolo or have chipolo ring your phone. - Group search feature whereby marking your chipolo as lost will allow all chipolo app users to see your chipolo if in range and will send you a notification if foundI did not really understand how this item worked when I chose it. I thought it was more like a GPS tracker and wanted to use it to track my luggage. (It is permitted in checked bags). It’s not really going to be that great for that until there is a larger Chipolo community because it relies on bluetooth plus a large number of users running the app within range of the device to provide updated information. I expect that with recent travel disruptions a lot more people will be wandering around the airport with the Chipolo app open on their phones so use as a luggage tracker may be improved. Also, I can confirm to the water-resistant feature as I have put my Chipolo through the washer & dryer and it keeps on doing its thing.I hope this review was helpful. Once you understand its limitations, it is a handy device.
