Front Bonnet Hood Locking Latch for Fiesta MK6 2008-2012 1831520

Straight swap for my 59 plate Ford fiesta old rusted bonnet latch, the spring had snapped in half!, fitted in less than 10 mins, 5 screws only to remove, the yellow arm is a bit longer than the original Ford part and looked like the bonnet wouldn’t shut but it does and works perfect , great price.

Perfect fit, exactly as described and no issues with installation.

Good overall quality, although the bonnet release cable retainer snapped when trying to insert cable. It's made of plastic, where the original is steel, so go careful. Had to cut down yellow opening tab about 5cm, as it was catching on underside of bonnet (2010 Fiesta 1.25 Zetec), but works perfectly and so much cheaper than OE, so would buy again.

Simple to fit, fixed the problem and bonnet is locking again 👍

Item was a very good price,fitted straight on in place easily, literally was a 10minute job. For a pattern part it's a very good fit,some people said yellow handle bit was too long,on my car it fitted fine and didn't stop anything working as it should,so didn't need to cut it down. Also as some people said the bonnet open and shut switch that shows up on dashboard doesn't work on this item,this is correct,but all I did was took off the old connection plug from original catch,plugged the cable into that and zipped tied it in place , obviously not ideal but it stops the dashboard light comin up and pinging at you. All in all for the price it's great and super fast delivery.

This was a straight forward replacement for the original bonnet catch on a 2010 Ford Fiesta. The fittment was spot on with no modifications required. This does have the advantage of having a slightly longer handle so the bonnet is easier to open. For the price I would highly recommend it.

Took 5 minutes too fit.I’ve Seen other reviews saying That the release catch is too long and it is longer than the original one but it’s not too long as they say on other reviews it still works absolutely fine, and I’ve also seen reviews saying you had too shave some plastic down with a file and I can assure you that you don’t. it’s really good quality and better than paying £60 from Ford for one 😁

I fitted this on our 2010 Fiesta Titanium. It fits so well, it's like the Chinese manufactured the original Ford item. However beware the yellow switch like object is a plastic fake with no switch. So your bonnet open light will be on and your alarm will be annoyed. You can't take the old switch and transfer it to the new catch, it won't fit.
