Everything looks of good quality. Mount for Spindle motor fits well. Problem occurred when I wired the power supply to the mains supply, immediately tripped the out the Supply. Having to return.

Spindle lost power after first use. There was not even enough power to start the motor even at 48V. Motor did run if you spun the fan but there appeared to be internal sparking, and there was not enough power to cut wood properly. Returned kit for a refund.

Don't bother too much hassle and expensive.

Ich hab diese Spindel für meine sainsmart Fräsmaschine gekauft. Sie passt nicht in die Orginalkunststoffhalterung, aber in die Zubehörhalterung aus Aluminium. Dann wird auch die mitgelieferte Schelle nicht benötigt. Die Beschreibung der Schnittstellen ist ausführlich und verständlich. Allerdings muß für die Verbindung des Motors mit dem Netzteil das Kabel verbunden werden. Ich hab hierfür einen Stecker angelötet. Wenn man die Drehzahl des Motors steuern möchte kann man entweder das mitgelieferte Poti verwenden, oder die Schnittstelle des Netzteils mit der Sainsmartplatine verbinden. Hierfür muß man sich ein Kabel mit den entsprechenden Steckern basteln oder nach einem passenden suchen. Auf jeden Fall kann mein Sainsmart (3018 mit Mach3) den Motor jetzt direkt steuern (an- aus - Drehzahl). Der Motor hat oben einen Kühlkopf. D.h. eine Art Ventilator der kühlt. Dies funktioniert auch ziemlich gut. Selbst beim Alufräsen wird die Spindel nicht heiß, höchstens handwarm. Gleichzeitig läuft der Motor so leise, daß man gut daneben arbeiten kann, kein Vergleich mit dem Orginalmotor. Die Spannzangenfutteraufnahme wird mit zwei Innensechskantschrauben auf der Spindelwelle montiert und sitzt so sehr fest und zentriert. Das mitgelieferte Spannzangenfutter hat mit allen Spannzangen die ich habe gut funktioniert. Meist fräse ich Aluminium mit einem 3-4 mm HM Fräser. Die Zustellung beträgt bis zu 0,5mm, der Vorschub im Bereich von 60 - 80 mm/min. Eigentlich würde bei Alu mehr gehen, aber die max. Drehzahl liegt (gemessen) bei 12000 U/min. Mit dem Orginalmotor hat es immer furchtbar gerattert und die Fräser sind gebrochen. Deshalb kann ich tatsächlich dieses Set emfpehlen. Nur für das Netzteil muß man sich eine Halterung überlegen. Aufgrund des Staubes und der Späne empfiehlt es sich nicht, es direkt an der Fräse zu montieren.

I didn't expect much from this spindle motor when I purchased it. I was surprised to find out it's a tank! I ran a 9 hour job with this spindle and it ate it up like candy. I should also mention that it was in an enclosed garage @87-90 degrees outside. The motor has a fan build into the top of the spindle and does a pretty good job of keeping it cool. I had read other reviews about the fan being out of balance, I'm glad I got one that is perfectly balanced and works like a champ. I have had issues with Genmitsu products in the past and they have been very responsive via Amazon to correct the issues. I am so pleased that I actually purchased another CNC from them and I'm currently awaiting it's arrival. I have no hesitation in recommending their products based on their customer service. I could not believe how quiet this spindle is, I can stand right next to it, and barely hear it running. The only real sound coming from the CNC is the end mill carving into the wood.

This was a huge upgrade for my std 3018 CNC. I can now push the feed rates and depth of cuts much higher than with the standard factory spindle. There is a lot less noise and chatter. Note: this is a 52mm diam. spindle - my machine came set up to accept a 52mm spindle (used a spacer for the 42mm 775). Yours may not accept a 52mm spindle w/o changing the motor mount bracket. The kit comes with one, but I can't say if this would be compatible with the bolt pattern of the 3018's with a 42mm bracket. It is advertised as a 3018 upgrade, so quite likely....but just saying.
