Exactly what I was looking for.
I just wanted to find an inexpensive, hard plastic vented brush with hard plastic spikes that looks exactly like this one. It was exactly what I was looking for, and the price was right. Why hard plastic? Other brushes are made of a softer, almost rubbery plastic. After a year or so, that softer material gets sticky. I don't know why, but that's why I prefer the hard plastic. This brush works great when your hair is dry or when your hair is wet. Detangles instantly.

Love this brush.
The hairbrush in the left photo must be close to twenty years old. I have been searching for another one for many years. I finally found the Scalpmaster on Amazon and bought it to try. It is the same size and style and styles my hair as the old one does. I should have ordered two! It will definitely be on my list to buy for my next order.

Warning, very stiff bristles
Bought this because I thought to myself, "It's a $5 hair brush, how bad could it be?". Well, bad enough for me to return it. The issue isn't with the construction of the brush itself (it's fine, although cheap feeling... but come on, it's $5), but the materials used. The bristles are *very* stiff and it was actually painful when the bristles didn't flex against my scalp; otoh, my wife said it was fine for her. 3-stars because you can't give half stars on Amazon, otherwise it'd be a 2.5. Probably fine for some people and not usable for others (like myself).

It's ok.
It combs my hair.. Hurts when I comb to hard. May be an engineering issue.

Does not work as good as it looks.
Very stiff bristles which makes it uncomfortable to use. It also fails to grab the hair to have any effect. I bought this to replace an identical looking brush that I have used for nearly forty eight years which has a number of broken bristles. I'll be keeping the old one while this is being returned.
