Pros: They work exactly as a profile rib should. It's so stinking easy to use these that it feels like cheating. They're also solid metal (alluminim allow? Stainless? I cant tell), so should last until you lose or bend them.Cons: they're too small. Americans like bigger mugs and bowls than these are made for. They should be about 20% larger, maybe even 30%. They also have an unfinished edge and points that are sharp, so they scream against the wheel head, and they can cut or poke you. One reviewer said, "not for kids." Nope, but neither are a lot of ceramics tools. One of these could hurt your if it slipped. If you want one that isn't sharp, you could use these as guides and cut some out of an old plastic wash tub, tote, or cat box. I like the shape of some of these, but I would like to size them up, so I think I'll do just that.

I love these ribs and are easy to use.

The ribs are sturdy but very sharp and easily cut anyone using them during use.

unfortunately for me they were to short in length to use successfully...

Here's a picture for reference. They are only 3" tall which is way too small. Most shaping tools are at least 6". Absolute fail.

VERY sharp. The metal makes it hard to hold while working. Just not great.
