My husband was really enjoying reading this book, as the IT profession progresses the need for these types of informative reads becomes obvious. From experience the information technology management arena is growing faster than some businesses know how to deal with. However, our dog found it even more wonderful and tasty than my husband and finished up this book long before my husband could. Don't worry, I ordered him another one! If you're an avid reader I think this could be consumed in a short period of time, maybe even faster than our English Bulldog while someone is in the shower.

This book needs to be revised every 2 years. I bought this in May 2022 but this edition came out in 2016. A lot has changed with TBM since then.

A solid overview of the profession that uses IT finance principles and modern technology strategy components (agile, cloud) to help executives explain the value of Technology investment to an often skeptical business audience. This methodology has been developed with the input from dozens of companies and can help anyone get started on improving their reporting and ability to "sell" the technology function.

This book provides an important contextual compliment to ITSM and ITIL, which were created to help run IT like a business. This work is extremely important in bringing the professional practices of management back into IT. A job well done. Looking forward to future works and the next level.

Great book for all IT leaders. This is the only resource I know that encapsulates best practices for effectively running IT as a business. I found the practical advice and stories from Fortune 500 CIOs particularly valuable

Great primer on TBM. Good, clear presentation of concepts and terms

Great book for anyone who needs to manage an IT department an would also be a great source of information to managers of other business units.

While the underlying points regarding the potential value of the TBM approach are important, the book is highly repetitive and withheld the useful information. I was expecting of detailed model TBM structures.
