I didn't look very well when I first purchase this item,because it only has one of each item,that is one plate one big one small,one blow,one cup,I didn't know it at first should have looked better, lesson learned,but the other things like the look and quality so far is good, that is so far,I hope I don't have to latter say something negative, I hate saying negative things, but sometimes that is the world we live in. Also one of the bowl's were broken and I never got a replacement.

Burnt my hand once I microwaved my food and plate broke from how hot it was after

$50 for a 4 piece dinner set? Had I saw that before ordering, I wouldn't have! This was supposed to be a Christmas present for my daughter and now I can't give it to her! Is her family going to share the 1 plate, 1 bowl etc. Definitely not worth the money spent. Disappointed to say the least.

I love this dinnerware set. I'd purchased two from Macy's previously but they'd sold out when I wanted another set. Was estatic when I found the same set on Amazon. I received earlier than expected and it was the same high quality as my first sets.Update: as on Sept. 23A year later unfortunately all the gold trim is gone. They may only supposed to be hand washed but now I have plain black plates and bowls.

I decided to do my kitchen in Black and Gold accents. The dinnerware set looked like a perfect match, so I purchased 1 set to see if they would compliment what I currently had started. I love them, they are sturdy, very chic, and made well. They aren't light, you can tell its a good quality (and each plate, bowl, cup, etc. is not identical as it looks like each was hand made). My only "con" is that they are pretty expensive. The set is still beautiful.
