Bought this knife for bar fruit mainly. Didn't want to spend a lot, but wanted a solid, quality knife. It's forged, not stamped, which is important. My kitchen knives are WÜSTHOFs. Their utility knife runs about $100, but this KitchenAid was less than $20. And there's not that much difference. Very happy with my purchase!

Advertised as a utility knife, but designed and sized and handles more like a steak knife. Sharp out of the container. Works for both applications in my opinion.

I’m using these as steak knives. Not serrated blades. Easy to sharpen and hone. Don’t put in dishwasher. Right size and shape for normal to large hands.
