This Device Is Idiot Proof - Works Wonderfully
This is my 3rd attempt and getting an external drive reader. The first two I purchased were crap (different brands than this one). The first had a short in the USB cable and the second was packed very poorly and when I plugged it in, it was not recognized. It took me a tech support employee and an hour to get it to work and not it works 50% of the time. The WavLink makes the others look like the junk they are. I will soon be throwing the first two in the garbage and getting another one of these. I am VERY happy with it.

Might not be able to use two drives at once.
I bought this to attach to our Linksys router to use as a NAS device. The device was recognized just fine but the Linksys software was not intuitive. I haven't tried it attached directly to a computer as I have a device that will read/write SATA and IDE for that. Since I'm transferring over the network that's the limitation on speed. To back up 1TB took almost 24 hours. I won't be transferring that much data now that the backup is in place so this is OK.It works with 2.5" and 3.5" drives but not necessarily at the same time. I have a 2TB drive in the source bay and put an old 3.5" HDD in the target bay (this drive worked when it was the only drive). Only the 2.5" drive was able to be attached as NAS. There is a note in the manual that says for two drives to be recognized they must be compatible. It doesn't elaborate on what that means; same file system (FAT vs NTFS), format (3.5 vs 2.5), technology (SSD vs HDD), brand, etc. Again, haven't tried this directly from a computer so could be a limitation of the Linksys router.Another thing I don't know if this device is the reason or if it's the router, I had to re-enable the old version 1 of the network drive security which Microsoft disables by default on Windows 10 because of security issues. I have a fairly new, two year old Linksys dual band router so I'm thinking it should use version 2. Linksys documentation just says "most" modern Linksys routers are version 2 compatible. Maybe mines not? Linksys isn't very helpful with online documentation or help through the web interface. My old Linksys WRT routers were much better!I found the physical build quality quite good. Especially if you're using a modern 2.5" SSD there should be no issues. I haven't tried cloning a drive yet. Some of the sellers answers to questions make it sound like this just copies data from one drive to another. The documentation says any data on the target drive will be lost which makes it sound like a true clone. But generally when cloning from a smaller capacity drive to a larger capacity the extra storage is lost. The answer to this question however is that that extra capacity will still be available after cloning. That would be very cool if true (i.e. clone a bootable drive to a larger capacity SSD and be able to use all of the additional capacity.Bottom line, don't expect enterprise quality from a device in this price range. But for the price this is an excellent product. I'll follow up after I have tried a few more configurations.

Works great for about 3 years
These things are great for Apple Mac or Windows PC. They work great, clone offline great, just wont clone any of the Team group SSD drives, weird. But they only last about 3 years before failing, so only a 3 star rating

Keep your information backed up
Over the years I have tried several software backup (cloning HD) products.Either they were very slow or quit working. An engineering friend of mine said he and his friends purchased this product and the cloning of your hard drives have never been so easy. Not only can you clone your drive (C) but you can hook a USB cable and plug two hard drives in and use them as external storage.I wish they would make on for the M2.0 hard drive sticks.

I sent it back, it didn't work
I plugged it in, put my drives in, turned it on and pushed the button as instructed in the video, but all it would do is display circling lights. I was disappointed it did not work.
