A review three years after purchase
We're coming up to three years using this near daily in our workshop. It's worked flawlessly with occasionally sharpened Ivan punches for BioThane, with low noise. The punch board it comes with is still usable, and probably the best we've come across. We paid £95 for it at the time and thought it was good value for money then. It's a bargain now if you're serious about making with leather or BioThane as a business. It doesn't come with the aluminium plate that other machines of this type do, but we've personally never missed it.

Good bit of kit
Well worth the money. Good, robust machine. Easy to set up. I’m really enjoying using it for my leatherwork. The only small semi negative thing is that it would have been nice to have a clip on front steel plate to store the chuck key, other than that it is a nice machine and a good price too.

Easy to use, quiet and made my stamps more constistant
So I haven't used it much, as I have just bought this, so mainly tests with my tools. I struggled with my leather stamps and having a time restraint due to noise of hammering before with my leatherwork. I was originally confused as to how to move the arm into position but after looking at it a second time it's easy I just missed figuring out what one screw did. Now I can easily move it. (Also there's only 1 A4 sheet of instructions, so that shows that there's not much to it) All my tools fit in it (it comes with tools but I already had my own and if you want to test if your tools fit before you get it it's basically a drill head), and it makes it easier than hitting it with a hammer (much less noise too, so can do this late at night if I wanted to without disturbing anyone). My stamping with a hammer didn't get all the detail in the stamp where with this as long as I make sure I've moved the handle all the way it gets the details aswell and keeps it alot more constistant than hammering it a couple of times.

not great but alright
got this yesterday and set it up. There are no instructions on setting it up, but it is not rocket science. The hole punches and the pricking irons are rubbish, but that is not why I bought this. I bought it to act as a press and it seems to be doing the job I bought it for. The stamping pad is not as advertised, it doesn't have any measured guides as shown in the photo. One thing I would suggest is that you properly lubricate the slider bar which is used to adjust the height of the chuck/press bar. Initially this was very stiff, even after loosening the tightening screws, but once I put some WD40 on it and worked it up and down it began to move more freely. One comment to the seller is, don't provide useless blunt tools - instead provide something that fits in the chuck with a flat plate to allow for something to work better as a press.

Good but without metal plate
Why did you choose this product over others?: It should say that the mettal plate is not included! If i knew i would have searched one that it has!

A Breeze to use
Hi Folks, I got this little beauty and it's a lifesaver my wife was ready to murder me with all the banging I did with irons this arrived with a set of tools a couple of hole punches and two irons which are small, to be honest are not much use all ,enough Allen keys to adjust it , a chuck that's made for a percussion drill to fit in the recess, the shaft on it isn't the same size as the hole but once fitted it was tight, setting up was a breeze the build quality is as good as some of the ones showing more expensive its smooth to operate, with practice you can shift along a bit of leather, fully adjustable in every way come ready lubed a quick wipe got rid of the bit of packing oil would I recommend it yes without hesitation for the price you can't go wrong I have included two photos one is a wallet back I did in under 30 second using this machine the other is the setup I. have

Poor quality
Took the item out of the box, placed on the ground and the base snapped. The metal is poor quality and very brittle. Shane as the function would work well.

Its OK
I found it difficult to set up as required and centre, the graduation plate was missing, but once set up it was easy to use, some tools I have which I had hoped would fit, will but unable to orientate in the chuck. May be I'm being to critical as it does what it says on the tin.

Very good quality! Easy to use! I taped the plastic bottom on the machine so it wouldn't move and it's easy to change the position like that also! Very easy to assemble.

Great little press, well worth it. I modified the clamp on the back, switching the original bolts out for knobs I can turn by hand, cost me about $10 with parts from a local hardware store. It comes with this little 5” x 5” acrylic plastic plate that works well as a base.
