Wasabi Power Battery 2-Pack and Dual Charger for Nikon EN-EL18d, MH-33, Z9, D4, D5, D6, D850 (with adapters/Grips)

Well-made batteries that provide as much power to my camera as does the battery supplied by the camera manufacturer, but at a very reduced price. I particularly like the dual charger unit that provides a percentage of charge as the batteries are charging. The charger is also quite fast in charging and is very well made. I highly recommend this product.

Nikon Z9 battery has a lot of power, I've never run low even when shooting 1,000+ frames in a day. But only having one charger worried me so I bought this as a backup. Charger works fine, and I got extra batteries.

The Wasabi Batteries tested well during a photoshoot last week. Good power and no trouble photographing 3 basketball games. Still had 2 bars of power remaining at the end, but with minimal image viewing during the games. I did notice that the charge 'seeps' out of the battery faster than the OEM Nikon batteries. After sitting for a week unused, they lost one bar of charge power. But overall - great battery.

Update: Important - the issue below is an Amazon issue, NOT Blue Nook's. I contacted Blue Nook and Terry told me that they do not ever ship used products, so this must be Amazon's doing. I will only order directly from Blue Nook at the Wasabi website from now on. Wasabi products are normally excellent, I've used them for years with no problems whatsoever. Terry sent me a replacement item directly from his warehouse the next day which works flawlessly with my D4. Outstanding customer service from a company that cares. Original review: Firstly, this was a used item and had dried food stuck to the charger - disgusting. Secondly, the left terminal didn't work, presumably why it was returned in the first place. Totally unacceptable.

I had to film EDCLV 2022 for all three days, so I knew I needed more than the single battery that shipped with the Z9. And all the native Nikon batteries were still sold out everywhere. I’ve used this brand before when I shot with Canon t3i’s. Honestly; pretty stoked on how well these guys work! Internal charging works with them. And the dual battery charger is clutch, because these batteries don’t fit on the native Z9 charger and vise versa. One battery ended up lasting me a full evening of shooting (8pm to 5am). On long one takes in 4K; I probably went from full to 20% in about two hours. I try not to drain them to 0%, juat so I don’t ruin the longevity of the battery. Overall; 9/10 on these guys! Would HIGHLY recommend these as a cheaper but still amazing batteries!

Good product, well packaged, fast delivery

There are two batteries in this offering. I read reviews about batteries dying early so I charged both and tested them twice (charge/test-charge/test). One was fine, but one wouldn’t hold a charge even when not in a camera. I’ve requested an exchange so I’ll update this after those arrive. Test early so that you can return within the 30 days. UPDATE: The issue really was that the Wasabi battery isn’t fully compatible with the Nikon D850 and was causing the camera electronics to crash. It needed all batteries out to reset and I had one in the camera. Taking the camera battery out allowed me to be able to pull the Wasabi battery out of the grip and put it back to restore operation but I don’t know what damage might occur to the camera or the digital images (stored or processing in the camera). I returned this and am purchasing a Nikon EN-EL18c battery. Not changing my rating but also not recommending it for the D850.

These batteries do what they are supposed to. I thought I wasn’t getting 9fps from them, but it turns out that the BL 5 cap is crucial. I love that the charger can hold 2 batteries so I can have them ready when I need them. They are quality products, I’d buy them again.
