No, there is no "gold" on the flatware. However, I do not recommend this flatware because on mine the Stainless Steel coating was thin and the knives, in particular, have black spots on them after a few washes. I was very unhappy as the return time was only a few days and I couldn't return them. Nor have I be able to buy individual knives to replace them.

The knife is solid. My daughter and granddaughter liked it so much that I gave a set to each of them. A beautiful, easy-to-care for set that will enhance your table.

Does the item come with gold details? in some of the pictures it has a gold detail and in others is all silver
