Link2Home has a number of IP cameras in its range and this is a smaller than average pan and tilt type designed for indoors or out.The white and silver finish on this model looks stylish, and the camera measures around 11cm high with a base diameter of 8cm. It has no distracting antenna like some IP cameras, which gives it minimalist style.It can rotate a near 360 degrees on its base and will tilt (up and down) around 90 degrees. Angle of view from the lens is 100 degrees, and picture quality is full HD 1080p.The base plate has 3 holes for mounting onto a wall/ceiling (screws provided), power is by a supplied by a reasonably generous 2m long cable and plug with.The camera is controlled by the App ‘Link2Home’ and once downloaded is easy to connect and set up. Simply point the camera lens to the QR code when it appears on your phone/tablet screen. Adding further cameras is just as simple.Once connected the App has all the basic functions for viewing and recording. Note that the camera is fixed at the angle to which it is manually set at, and is not controlled by the App once it is mounted.The basic summary of functions:1) Full 360 degree horizontal rotation (pan), controlled manually, not on the App2) 90 degree up and down (tilt), again controlled manually, not controlled by the App3) Record and photo facility4) Speak and listen facility5) Cloud storage available6) Motion/sound alert (can be turned on/off under settings)7) IR for night viewing (can be turned on/off under settings)Picture quality is HD and is excellent, lens is wideangle for good coverage. There are no options to adjust brightness/contrast/colour, but these look ok on the factory settings.Overall it’s a great looking camera, with good HP quality images but remember that the angle of view cannot be controlled by the phone App like many other, similarly priced, IP security cameras.

It comes with a 12v wall plug power supply. It doesn’t have a battery so needs constant power. It has a Micro SD socket for local recording - It can take a maximum 128gig card. It comes with a mounting plate and bracket so it can be secured to a surface.Physically is it quite compact for this type, and sleek looking. It feels very robust and is well built. As with other cameras of this type there is no locking mechanism to stop the camera from being unscrewed from the mount.The Quick start instructions point you at the App and guide you though setup.The android app installed fine and is well presented. It’s a rebranded version of Tuya Smart App. It allows you to control the camera, look at recording history though the main pages. You can flip the image so it can be installed in a variety of positions.There is an optional paid for cloud service for storing recordings. Details on Link2Home website.The camera is ONVIF compatible but it had a feature to enable this in the App. It is only capable of basic ONVIF functions so can’t trigger recording on an external DVR.The image quality is good. It can record in light and dark conditions with motion detection. You can zoom in on the picture but quality does get reduced.Good features –Small and robust.Simple setup and good App interface.Great tech support.Records audio and features sound detection mode.Comes with mounting plate.Website clear on pricing options for recording footage and can record continuously (at a fee).Bad features -Only works on 2.4Ghz freq.Manual Pan and Tilt only.No internal battery.

This is the definition of good.The app is OK, the installation was OK.Build quality isn't very good, it feels very cheap for an outdoor camera, but on the other hand, the image quality is actually quite good.1080P looks very good and night mode wasn't horrendous either.The app didn't always work but on the whole it did work when needed. I think this is a good deterrent, but not sure if it's much more.

I've used link2home before including their spotlight camera and this one is just as good, image quality is solid for 1080, I already had a hole in my wall from an old security light and the connector is not very large passed easily through it, from there it's a simple case of mounting the camera and plugging it in, the Link2Home app works well and is easy and intuitive to use, wifi connection to my router is solid with zero lag to speak off, all in all, another great camera from Link2home, recommended to all.
