About 20 minutes' worth of mildly entertaining comix
Scattered through this work are occasional "words of wisdom". Just one gets repeated: "Never draw anything you can copy, never copy anything you can trace, and never trace anything you can cut out and paste in." And I'm afraid that kinda sums up the general level of ambition here. There's not really any story to speak of, and many of the pages are just setups for old/bad jokes. "Nudity" is given as one of the selling points, and that's not entirely inaccurate -- but 95% of the nudity is on the part of bizarre moon creatures who appear to be either male or genderless, which I suspect is not what most readers were anticipating. Mildly entertaining for about 20 minutes. Production values for the book are actually probably better than the material deserves ...

Far from his best work
This book was, I believe, the last effort of an artist nearing the end of his life. So I would guess he was under considerable stress at the time. The book isn't bad, its just not up to Wood standards. If you are a Wally Wood collector you would probably like this product. If you are new to Mr. Wood's work, I would recommend an earlier published work for a start.

Disappointing
Wood, at his best, delivered stories with humor, adventure, and a few naughty bits of the clever kind. His characters and scenes could be complex and evocative, but still able to elicit a chuckle.Unfortunately, none of that art or artisanship appears here. Instead, see his Naughty "Knotty" Woody , the bowdlerized The King of the World: The Wizard King Trilogy Book 1 (The Wizard King Trilogy) , or almost anything else instead.-- wiredweird

Good old Wally
Sure there aren't boobs on every page like a lot of other of Wood's books, but what you get in place of that is an actual fun story with great art. It's still far out as far as trying to relate it to anything mainstream, and there's still some boobs and sex, regular staples of old Mr. Wood. I enjoyed it.

Get his earlier stuff instead.
Late in Wood's career, lackluster work.

Maybe the Saddest Book Ever...
Wally Wood is, and ever will be, one of my all-time favorite cartoonists. In particular, the work he did for MAD is some of the finest humor cartooning ever. His dazzling facility for different materials and techniques was a joy to behold. He could mimic any other style to create awesomely, eerily, accurate satires of the work of other strip artists and at MAD his own unique style was given room to flourish (same goes for his fantastic work in Galaxy magazine). He was also one of the pioneers of creator-owned properties. So more's the pity that this posthumously published book is such a broken object. The art is horrible, comprised of bad, stroke-afflicted, drawing and photocopied montages. He was not a well man by the time he did this and suicide was soon to be his release. This book really only serves as a depressing insight into how far one can fall from the heights of one's abilities. If you love the work of Wallace Wood, avoid this tragic final effort. It is a curiosity that will truly bum you out.
