The pastels are beautifully vibrant colours which blend well. They are a good size and presented in protective foam compartments in a handy tin. Having never used soft pastels before, I am surprised at the effects you can create with them. Sharp lines and large blocks of quite dense colour can be achieved. They are good value for money and the colours are inspiring.

I use pastels a lot in mixed media work and for life drawing. I wanted a smaller set to carry easily to art sessions so ordered these as I have the same in the larger size. These seem slightly different quality, they're very soft. They certainly seem that bit softer than the previous pack, maybe the product has changed slightly? Bought as a gift, they were well received.

Not bad for the price but it was difficult to get any colour off some of them because they were too waxy. The ones that worked were fine.

The colours areclean and saturated. The texture is soft without being crumbly. The blocks are easy to hold and can be use to make a broad shape or a fine line. The pastels fit snugly into the foam and do not fall out in transit. I am delighted.

Scrapped off the pigment with a blade and used to colour and shade Polymer Clay. Worked perfectly for the purpose I purchased for. Recommended item.
