General Pencil 957ABP Compressed Charcoal Sticks 4/Pkg-Black - Soft Assorted

I find Generals compressed charcoal very high quality. Their hardness are dead on and i get smooth thick darks and also decent lights. I even am able to blend well with these types

Works beautifully and is the same brand sold by dick blick (where universities get their supplies). The eyes are done in conte crayon. The rest is compressed charcoal in black and white. In college I used chalk and white conte crayon for the white. This was my first time trying white compressed charcoal. I think I prefer the white conte crayon which is more intense (use less).

I would say this is a very good product for the value. I would say the only thing is the blending is a little more difficult but overall its a great product.

I really like this product .They did not come broken up .I was impressed about that. The product was exactly as described. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

3 of the 4 sticks broken in half, however I will be keeping them because I need them.
