Great frame, fits perfectly, feels durable enough. It does what it's supposed to do. I like to open ports. I record events that happened for a few hours and I need to have access to Ports so I can hook up my external battery and access all my buttons easier. Also I love the fact that it fits the LED screen in it or external battery. Obviously not waterproof has not supposed to be . Great price great item.

This is really hard to get around my camera and external battery. I can see this snapping in half at some point. As this has no weather proof ability it might be better designed with a hinging or two piece assembly when attaching this to the camera. Something like the locking mechanism used in the waterproof housing clasp?

I use GoPros as small hidden point of view video cameras for different camera angles on stage for a band. I like the GoPro brand because they let me output a clean (no OSD) video feed out and a large choice of video resolution and frame rates which a lot of the less expensive cameras don’t provide. My original Hero camera holders required that I use a hot knife to cut out the case to allow me to access the video out and power in connectors while mounted on a tripod mount. Now with this ready to go case, I just needed to pop out a window. Perfect for what I needed.

Negatives: Difficult to get GoPro inside the case, have to spread it open to the point it feels like it is going to break. Cannot remove camera without taking it off the mount. No card access.Positives: Nice packaging, and good accessories included.I purchased to use just as a mean to mount a GoPro on a stand for indoor meetings, and it will work just fine for that application. Even though I didn't buy for the purpose as an action cam mount, I would never trust the case to protect the camera from a fall or impact. I would not buy again, just spend a couple more dollars for a more traditional GoPro style case. This feel like it will snap after removing and installing the camera a few times.
