Persuasion (Temptation Series) Paperback – March 2, 2022

I didn't want to put it down. I cried and laughed. I would definitely read it again and cannot wait to read the next one.

***Must read “Temptation” before reading this book.***This book picks up right after the revelation that Julia & Lachlan are far more connected then just some chance meeting on a beach. While Julia is visiting Hawaii to promote her bakeries through her books and new shop opening in Waikiki, Lachlan has returned home to Hawaii because he’s mourning the death of his sister.Julia & Lachlan’s chance meeting leads them to start spending more time together, with the unexpected twist of them realizing that they’ve got much more in common then they thought possible. What started as a fun, week-long fling between the two, becomes a strong, undeniable bond that takes them both on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Revelations about their intertwining pasts only prove to strengthen their already growing feelings for each other.This wouldn’t be a TRUE, T.K. Leigh book without her signature, jaw-dropping CLIFFHANGER, which I can happily say, hit the mark!!! I just know the last book in this Trilogy will be as amazing as, if not more than, the first two have been. I recommend these books to everyone!!!

Wow! Hold onto your seat this story is taking off! Lachlan and Julia have ALOT to figure out and are so honest with one another it is truly almost painful and really hard to believe he is as young as he is. This installment was GOOD, no GREAT! I cannot wait to see what happens next now that Nick has resurfaced. I was happy the author gave us more of Nick’s history and how Julia fit into that, I was going to have to go back and read the other duet to refresh my memory if she didn’t. It all flows so well. This 2nd part to Temptation series, is just as surprising as the 1st. Lachlan is back in the states, and Julia has finished her promo tour, so what is next? Can they continue? Where will the investigation go on strange suicides? Yet, her ex continues to cause her worry, and then he has a visitation from someone? The drama, suspense, and emotional turmoil continues. Such a story full of excitement.❤️

Overall Grade: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️If you thought T.K. Leigh’s Temptation ended with a bang of a cliffhanger, then you will be shocked that she upped her game in Persuasion, the second book of her Temptation series. The continuing saga of Lachlan and Julia doesn’t just give you more answers about the suspense storyline of this series. In fact, you find out more of their backstories in this book. Leigh also brings more of the heat between Lachlan and Julia, more than you find in Temptation. What I like about this series is the need for the four books. I’ll be honest. When I first saw this series would include four books, I was annoyed. I’m not a “wait for all of the stories” type of reader. Even more, I’m an ARC reader for T.K. Leigh (of course, for an honest review). So slogging through the wait of four books seemed interminable and, at first, too decadent. All of this might have seemed true at the beginning; yet, now having read through the first two books, it appears to be necessary. T.K. Leigh is carefully unraveling the emotional journeys of Lachlan and Julia, and she gives them space through this four-book series to grow in their characterization. Even more, she deftly exposes the various parts of the suspense portion of this romance. There was no moment during this book (and its predecessor) when I felt the pacing unravel. Instead, Julia and Lachlan’s journey requires all four books. If T.K. Leigh continues to write them in a way that makes her readers rabid for this romantic suspense, then the Temptation series is well worth the wait. And Persuasion, the newest book, simply adds more kindling to the growing fire of a story.

Holy cow what a roller coaster ride of emotions for me with this book!!! I want to live in T.K. Leigh’s mind for just one day. I can honestly say my mouth was working overtime when I was reading. It was either hanging open agape, biting my lip or muttering a curse or praise. The steam level is off the chart!! And, as T.K. Leigh does so well, she leaves us with one heck of a cliffhanger. LOVE, LOVE, LOVED every minute of Persuasion!

TK has done it again. She goes back to her suspenseful roots in this latest series and she doesn’t disappoint. If you want a story full of twist, turns and where did that come from moments then Persuasion is for you. It will have you on the edge of your seat and not being able to put this book down until you finish it. This story gets more intriguing as it goes and I can’t wait till the Epic conclusion I know it will be.

The tension is slowly building in this 2nd part of the 4 book series. The romance is coming a long nicely, but Nick is in the shadows all the time. In my head I can hear the music from Jaws, and it's making me feel a little knotted up. You can not yet see it, but you know it's lurking out of sight. Nick is Evil. It's now almost midnight and I do want to start book 3 but may have to wait until day time to get stuck into the scary stuff.Great series so far. Great characters and beautifully described settings/locations.

This book picks up right where the first book left off. There are some very intriguing revelations and the ending will definitely pique the reader’s curiosity. Much of the middle is filled with repetitive filler that could easily be removed to keep the pacing of the plot tight and tense. Unfortunately, that would defeat the purpose of making a one book story stretch out over the course of four books. Hopefully now that Lachlan and Julia have resolved a few issues, we can forgo the endless rumination over whether their relationship can continue outside of their “contractual” obligations.
