Great portable desk
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love this portable desk. I use it in my office for private practice to work away from my desk or for clients to use during sessions.

Very Important to Study the Instruction Sheet Carefully
Attached is the Installation Instruction sheet. It took me a few hours to assemble it, because twice I assembled some parts incorrectly and had to undo/redo. Step 2 was tricky. By the end of Step 5, I had one screw left and had to figure out what I missed. It was Step 2 again, but thankfully I didn't have to undo Steps 5, 4, and 3.It is VERY IMPORTANT to study the sheet carefully!!I haven't used the table yet. I am not sure how it tilts, but this wasn't a feature I planned to use anyway. My table is 22" tall at the lowest setting which is what I wanted.

Glad I Got this
I use this every day and the only complaint I have is that I can't have my laptop directly in front of me because it's not quite wide enough to reach over the arm of my chair and be centered. Occasionally I'll have a sore neck, but 99% of the time it's fine. It's quite sturdy, though if it gets moved around too much the joints get loose and it may tip, or turn or lower. I just check that the knobs are tight every now and then after it almost tipped over when the top turned, but the base didn't.. The only things that would make it better would be for it to be a bit wider and if there was a way it would be okay to turn only the top without causing it to tip, instead of needing to keeping the top aligned with the base for balance.

Adjustments and cumbersome.
Assembly was easy enough, but the tools provided were a little weak. Went together as expected and all holes were prefilled and all hardware was present. Packaging was good and item arrived in good condition. Does tilt, lay flat against side. The wheels don't roll very smoothly, and do have locking mechanism. They are plastic. Works well, but the changing of height and direction mechanics are cumbersome as there are three fittings to screw and unscrew for the top to tilt or flatten, and two additional fittings to unscrew and tighten for the height adjustment. Once set, they are fine, but that's a lot of adjustments to make and it is on the underneath, so a little awkward. Metal seems sturdy, top is finished nicely and seems sturdy. It just the mechanics of operating the desired features that take too much time and effort. If you fix and forget, you will be fine, but then you wouldn't buy an adjustable one.

Great Value, built well
Love this! We bought two and use these while watching tv. You can put your phone or iPad on them, do your busy work, etc.

Makes a great living room tray, w/correction on the plastic clamps performance
My goal was to find a better-than-average "TV" tray, for eating, using my tablet, reading magazines, or other similar activities... whether sitting in my rocker, the stationary chair, or the low sofa.. and, if possible, at a price that wasn't terribly high. This tray has a well-made metal frame and a good top, with useful lips on both of the long sides. It can tilt, though the tray surface is a little too slippery for some items to be tilted (but that smoothness makes it easy to clean and disinfect the top). The lip makes it possible to tilt with my tablet or laptop or magazine.Instead of installing the included casters, I stuck low-profile glider discs on the bottom, to enable the tray feet to slide under the low sofa. While I am not wildly fond of the plastic hardware for the tilting function... the grip is pretty good. But to keep elbow pressure from causing a slow unintended tilt, make sure you screw down the plastic clamps ALL the WAY! (Viewing the clamp while tightening down will show you when the gap closes.) Overall, this is a quality item, for a price that beats most of the comparable competition. I am happy with this purchase.

Sinks like the Titanic
I suffered with this desk for a little over a year before it became unusable. From the very beginning, the height adjustment was loose and fiddly. Soon, the height of the table began to slowly, inexorably sink. No matter what I did, no matter how much I tightened the knob, it would slowly, slooooowly sink until it was resting on my knees. In Match, one year after purchase, the height adjustment broke entirely, and I had to wreath it in an obscene amount of duct tape just to keep it at a useful height. Even then, IT KEPT SINKING. It now lives in a landfill and I bought a different model of table somewhere else that works perfectly.

It's not all that-I wanted to give more stars but I can't
The only reason I still have this table is because when I went to return it they told me to keep it. I still use it (since it was free) and have a pretty good knowledge on this product. The wheels are not solid, they are made from cheap plastic. You are better off carrying it if you are moving it more than a foot or two. The wheels lock on their own after you've move it a few feet so you're constantly looking to see which wheel locked up this time. When you adjust the height you have to guess how high it will go before it comes apart and it's not until you tighten it that you know if it's in a good placement or not. It has pencil holders or whatever you want to call them on both sides of the table so you can't lean your forearms on it if your writing or typing. It's nice looking and works best on the opposite side of my bed to hold drinks, notepads, etc. I considered replacing the wheels..... Word the manufacturer. Fix the wheels, remove one of those pencil holder things, make the table just a little longer so it will fit over your beside properly, just another 6 inches or so and fix or mark the adjustable bars so you know when you've reached the max.
