All in all, this was a sexy anthology with a variety of monsters but with plenty of steam.
There were quite a few novellas in this monster anthology, but I’m going to note and review those that stood out to me.Foxing by Ashley Bennett: I’ve been interested in Kitsunes since I watched the Teen Wolf reboot some years ago, so I was very excited for this one. I loved that the Kitsune was the dominant one and kind of talks Kazuo into doing…whatever she wants. With a little bit of Japanese mythology, Foxing felt like a great introduction to a bigger story. The sex and steam was just right with enough plot to keep you wanting more.Hookah Smoking Caterpillar by Beatrix Hollow: I don’t know what it was about this one, but I was all in. A play on Alice in Wonderland, our Alice goes to this sex club to finally deal with her obsession with Caterpillar (who is legit a bug??) but also turns out that the Cheshire Cat may have a bit of obsession with her too. Crazy good steam with weird freaking anatomy and yet, where can I get more?Captured by the Wolven by L.V. Lane: I cannot resist this very specific childhood-friends-separate-but-then-he-kidnaps-her trope. This felt less like kidnapping and more like meant to be. Add in a bit of the fated mate trope, and you’ve got yourself an enjoyable read.Incubus Dreams by Maeve Black: Somnophilia and an incubus: what a great combination. While I am angry at the “friend” on behalf of our heroine, this story intrigued me so much. There is a fated mate aspect that is like kryptonite to me. I was enthralled enough that I already have preordered the next in this series. All in all, this was a sexy anthology with a variety of monsters but with plenty of steam.

Monsters, Monsters, & more Monsters
This was my first BIG dive into actual “monsters”. I’ve read loads of wolves, shifters, etc, but this was the first time I have jumped headfirst into monsters. They threw me in the deep end with the first book being about Orcs…which I honestly have AVOIDED. I. Absolutely. Loved. It. I wanted MOOOOOORE! So I was immediately hooked and ready to keep reading. I was introduced to several other types of monsters I haven’t read. Each story I read was exceptionally well written. I would love for extended versions of most of them. This would be a great intro into reading about monsters for someone who’s looking to dabble at first. There’s nothing crazy long with drawn out stories. They were all to the point and everything was set up very well.*full disclosure* there were two I skipped because they weren’t my “thing”. I don’t feel it’s fair to rate this without making that known.

Holy hotness
I don’t know what to say after finishing this anthology. Normally, I’ll buy an anthology to support the authors but never really read them. I’m so glad I was in between books and decided to pick this one up.These stories are hot and when I say hot, I mean HOT!! I had to set it down several times and walk away because I was going to jump my husband. As much as I love my son, I’m not trying to get knocked up again thanks to a book. But seriously, this book has everything you can think of; steam, folklore and every single emotion imaginable. Stories of werewolves, hindi creatures, caterpillars, shapeshifters and every monster in between. I hope some of these stories are expanded upon and turned in to actual books. I seriously loved them all.I was blown away by how well written all of these stories were and I can’t wait to read the continuations of the ones that shattered my soul with “to be continued”. If there is another “into the woods” anthology, I’ll be number one on the list to preorder. I’m also wondering how I get a signed copy of this book because I’d buy that in a hot second!

Some really good reads
Some stories are definitely stronger than others and there are some real gems in here. Some are a little lack luster and let down the overall score. There are a few teasers, and a few cliffhangers which honestly I find annoying. I feel like if you are writing a short story it should be a complete story. It's fine to continue the story but you should have a beginning, middle and end to a story. Not just set it up.

Brilliantly monstrous
This is a brilliant anthology that walks you down a dark and dirty path into the world of wonderous monsters, and it will leave you desperate for more.I loved the depth and variety of monsters explored in these pages... its not just shifters. Although these are short novellas many ending on cliffies, giving you hope they will be expanded into something truly tantalising, its a great book to steal you away from reality. So grab a drink, sit back and relax and explore something monstrous.

A cornucopia of delights
A great array of different monster stories. No two are the same. Some are sweet, some are a bit angsty, some get the pulse going. Each one however was a delight to read and explore. Considering they are short stories they all have a great amount of world building which makes the stories work incredibly well. Many of them I look forward to exploring further in associated longer books in the future.

Phenomenal Collection of outstanding stories!
This is an absolutely fantastic collection of sexy monster romance tales that is sure to whet your appetite. Each story is unique, steamy, suspenseful, kinky and will definitely melt the panties right off you. Get ready to plunge deep into the dark woods but make sure to have your B.O.B. on hand just in case you need to take care of business while reading this collection. My favorites so far are:Captured by the Wolven by L.V. Lane – sexy, intense, thrilling and amazing! From the Depths by C. Rochelle – titillating, twists and turns throughout, tons of panty melting moments and fantastic characters.Hookah Smoking Caterpillar - Beatrix Hollow – definitely a sexy retelling of Alice in Wonderland that I desperately needed. What Big Teeth - Salem Sinclair – AMAZING omegaverse story that I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into. Now I just need the full length story.Where Darkness Wanders - A.R. Breck – sexy, thrilling, intense and absolutely fantastic. As it ends on a cliffhanger, I can’t wait for more!I honestly loved this anthology, while I haven’t read all of the stories yet, I am taking it slow and enjoying each and every one as its own enjoyable experience. I am excited that some of these stories are going to be developed into full length novels.LOVED IT!!

Um holy someone get me a cold shower 🥵
Once upon a time something happens and our main character wanders into the woods. What do they find in the woods you may ask? Well, this anthology has sixteen different endings to that story, and they are all sinful. There were definitely some notable stories that I especially enjoyed and will be rereading!Caught by the Werewolf by Lillian Lark is the perfect combination of sass and longing, a very satisfying second chance romance that had be unable to look away from the page. From the Depths was my introduction to C. Rochelle’s writing, though I’ve had Rise of the Witch on my tbr for quite some time! This story had characters that captivated me and I cannot wait to read more about this world in the Yaga’s Riders trilogy.Gods May Cry by Lea Jade had me yearning for more of this story and it’s intriguing characters! I’m definitely preordering the full length novel. I love Fae and Kellan is all my fantasies wrapped up in a beautiful package.I fell in love with Hookah Smoking Caterpillar by Beatrix Hollow, because I adore Alice in Wonderland and loved the dynamic between these characters.Rooting for Love by Helena Novak stood out to me because I love plants and also can’t help but falling for books with a female scientist, being a woman in STEM myself. What Big Teeth by Salem Sinclair is a new take on omegaverse that was well written and definitely had me hot by the end of it.Overall, I highly recommend checking out this anthology and brave the dark with us by journeying Into The Woods!
