I was disappointed when I opened the package to find what I ...
The magnifier has a yellow 'highlight' down the center which I find distracting. The highlight blurs the images and writing on the documents. I purchased this product specifically because it does not show in the picture, nor mention in the description that it has the 'highlighter strip'. I was disappointed when I opened the package to find what I had been trying to avoid.

too subtle for my needs
Too subtle for me. I wanted it for bookkeeping and can use it to mark the whole line, but I needed the other magnifiers I bought to differentiate between the numbers, which is what I wanted it for, because sometimes the "8" looks like an "0" and things like that and this didn't help at all.
