EIEIO: How Old MacDonald Got His Farm with a Little Help From a Hen Hardcover – February 25, 2014

A thoroughly enjoyable story that feels quite familiar. Was happy to gift this book to a friend recently for the birth of his first son.

What a great book! It is funny and the illustrations are outstanding! My 6 year old and I got a kick out of the story and if you are a parent who has been singing Old MacDonald for years, you will really appreciate it. I am even thinking of buying a few more copies to give out as presents.

This is a rather interesting story. Starts off as you wondering why so much talk about dirt and filth. But eventually he reaps his reward. It's hoe old mac Donald has a house and he eventually goes on to get his farm. Rather interesting concept. I likes it. Kids like the big bright pictures.

Cute story, but I purchased it to give as a memorial to a school library. It is a rhyming book and used the word "poop" for manure. I knew the librarian would be faced with angry parents, who would want the book censured, so I couldn't give it to the library. Other than that, it really is a cute book.

Super cute. 3 1/2 year old loves it!

Like so many great animated films these days this is a children's book that can be enjoyed on multiple levels. Lots of whimsy, great illustrations and good lessons for the kids. I can't wait to share it with my 2 and 4 year old grandsons. I would definitely recommend adding this to your children's libraries.

What a cute telling of how the story maybe came about. So appropriate and environmental correct with no preaching. I am not bothered by his nose as one reviewer mentioned. In fact I probably would not have paid it an attention if not pointed out. It gives him character.
