I bought two very last minute as I was being sent on a location photoshoot in the Scottish hills at very short notice. Knowing it was going to involve a lot of remote night-time photography I have to confess I just grabbed the first item that came up. I bought two of these and they were just fantastic. Very light and pocketable, but very robust. It rained like hell all week, everything got soaked and the location was really pitch black and dangerous (Glenfinnan viaduct). These torches were literally lifesaving - scrambling over wet, slippy rocks was a challenge, but the light from these torches was very bright and the 'focussing' facility was perfect - you could zoom out for a very wide but powerful beam that lit a large area, or zoom in to a small beam that was perfect for checking camera settings close up or fumbling in camera bags for lenses. The large Bright green on/off button was also helpful, as is the little wrist strap. The reach of the beam was very surprising, Glenfinnan valley is very wide and it easily illuminated the other side. THese torches got heavy, extended night use over a seven day period and worked perfectly with no loss of power on just ordinary batteries. Can't recommend them enough!

Firstly, the facts. This torch is 128mm long. It weighs 114grams with 3 AAA batteries. Batteries are not supplied. AAA battery craddle is supplied. It will take a 18650 battery but should have a 21.5mm sleeve (not supplied) to stop it rattling about. It has an XML T6 LED.Secondly, this torch is really well made. It is lighter and slightly smaller than other similar models and functions are smooth and decisive and seem to be in no danger of failure. It produces an even, sharply defined illumination with very little peripheral ambient light. Brightness is good for general use.Thirdly, how do they do it for this price?

these new LED torches are fantastic for brightness. Of course on wide angle it is diminished slightly but still gives a good spread which can then be focused on items of interest. I use it to follow my dogs in a large field, It feels solid but not too heavy and slips in the pocket no problem. I like it!

So far all is good gave these to my son to put in his work bagshame there were no batteries included but a small grumble

Getting one for £8 would be good but getting two is brilliant.Small powerful and all on a single AA batteryexcellent and superb value..

Some previous reviews appear to be describing a different product.The products I bought, despite being described as including batteries, didn't include batteries.The photo shows two torches and in fact, two torches did arrive, althought nowherer in the description did it confirm you would actually get two torches!The torches are small, bright and sturdy and work well with standard AA batteries.
