Loveless: Vocal Collection

First off, I adore loveless. I've read every manga, the scanlations and the official North American released versions. I've watched the fansubbed, and official subtitled versions of the anime.I even have a huge loveless wall scroll in my living room! Needless to say I was ecstatic to find they were dubbing it! I was disappointed by the reviews on here that all said the dub wasn't worth it, that the voices were monotone, etc. I almost didn't purchase it, but my love for the series won out, and I'm so glad it did!I think those that reviewed about the voices didn't really understand that Soubi is meant to sound a bit robotic. He has one purpose in life, and that is to fight for his sacrifice. He has had a hard life of training to make him understand that's his only purpose. And he's acting on Semei's orders, so, yes, his voice is meant to be a bit monotone, and I loved it in this! Also Ritsuka is a deeply depressed boy, and the voice actor for him captures that perfectly, only adding emotional depth when he's upset or being passionate about something. I was pleased to find that Yuiko's voice was very close the Japanese version. Probably the only voice I wasn't really happy with was Hitomi's, but it eventually grew on me.I also don't understand the rants by people saying that the names are mispronounced. They aren't. If you look at their spelling, it may seem like they are, since if I say "Seimei" I would assume it's pronounced "Seh-meh" but anyone who actually listens to how it's pronounced by the Japanese voice actors, rather than imposing their own assumptions on it, will see that it is indeed pronounced "Say-may" There was only one name that was really mispronounced, and it wasn't a character name, it was a city name.If you're a fan of the series, make your own judgement call on this, don't just assume it's another poorly done dubbing based on reviews here.

OMG I WAS SOOOOOOO HAPPY WHEN I HEARD LOVELESS GOT DUBBED!!!! I was like finally, and i wasn't disapointed. Besides the teacher the voice acting was perfect!!I'm not really gonna go into a detali review like i did with the orignal subb box set. but I will say it's a cute series more Shonen-ai then yaoi but still something every yaoi fanboy or fangirl should have!!!!

Be aware that the packages labeled Loveless; Vocal Collection and Loveless: Complete have the same episodes and the only difference seems to be English dubbing. So don't buy both and be disappointed. The story is not advanced by having both. Even the special features are the same. My problem is that the story is left hanging at the end of Eps 12. The whole reason for the warring sides is unexplained. In the last scene apparently Seimei is watching but one is left wondering who that was and certainly what are his intentions. Altogether complete is incomplete it seems. Likely those who read the manga can follow this mess.

Waited forever for there to be a dubbed version. I quite like it!

I'm so happy they finally dubbed this! The voice acting wasn't as bad as I expected, so that's a plus. Also, this seller is great! Super fast shipping and great quality of merchandise. I'd definitely buy from them again! :)

Am really excited to receive this anime because it was the first manga I'd ever read as a kid. When I received it the case was broken and the prongs that hold the disks in were broken off so 2 of the disks were loose inside the case. So far the disks seem fine.Still excited about watching it!
