I was satisfied with the close shave and the feel of it while using it. I accidentally dropped it on the floor when removing it from the box and the head came off, but I put it back on and it works perfect. Some folks remarked it was loud but I have no problem with that, sound level seems fine.

Best shaver I've had for battery life. Was able to make a 3 week overseas trip without the need for a charger! Easy to use, and to clean. Highly recommended.

After using a 'safety' razor for a dozen years as a youth, I tried both foil and rotary shavers, settling upon a Norelcos, triple heads, for several decades that served me well, buying a new one every 5 or 6 years as well as many replacement cutters. In my 50's I returned to razor blades for another 25 years. A new skin condition, and advice from a dermatologist, pushed me back to electrics. I bought a Norelco, my old standby for about $55 and was not impressed, but kept using for almost 6 months. It just did not give me a decent shave and it certainly was weak getting my upper lip area. Somewhat apprehensivly, I decided to give the Braun Series 8 foil shaver a try. It is obviously a much heaver shaver with a more powerful motor. I was very pleasantly surpised to get a nice tight shave over my entire face. I have found nothing to be unhappy with after two weeks. I have shaved both before washing or showering in the morning as well as afterwards. I find that the natural oils on my face after a night of sleep are an actual help, for me, in getting a nice shave. I read extensive reviews before purchasing this Braun Series 8, and am very happy with this unit.
