I absolutely love this leave-in conditioner and my girlfriend does too! I'm a dude who used to style my hair with hair wax when it was shorter. Now that I'm growing my hair out, like really out, I needed something a lot lighter, something to help my thick curls which tend to dry out and get frizzy. My girlfriend has somewhat thinner, wavy hair and she loves this stuff too, her hair is shoulder length and very dark brown and it gives it a nice shine without weighing it down or making it look greasy. This stuff is amazing. The smell is gentle and natural, I usually forget it's scented because it's very light (this is a good thing to me). I use this stuff after every shower, pat some of the water out of my hair and liberally apply, because my thick, curly hair gets dried out very easily. Then I wait a while because my hair is getting longer, but once it air dries on its own, I run my fingers through and fluff it up. The conditioner has light hold and light shine so my hair looks really natural, feels super soft, and is hydrated. I've also been known to just rinse my hair in the sink to get rid of some bedhead, and I'll reapply this conditioner after that to the same results. I use this as my daily styling product because I like the loose, natural look of the light hold. If you wash your hair every day DEFINITELY use this to out some moisture back. If you don't wash your hair every day like me because your hair gets dried out too easily, the softness of this product is lasting. I get bedhead but my hair is still soft! Also it seems like I'm using a lot of the product when I apply it but the tube lasted me for far longer than I expected. It's a good size.

Our infant daughter is biracial---African american and Caucasian. We wanted a leave-in conditioner to protect her fine, smooth, corkscrew curls from drying out and hair breakage. We strongly prefer organic products and research all ingredients to make an informed purchase. Giovanni Direct Leave In conditioner is great! it is organic, the scent is barely discernible, and a dollop the size of a dime is plenty for her entire head of 5-inch curls. We lightly mist with water, apply Giovanni Direct, comb with wide tooth comb, and do a quick finger twist of curls, ponytails, etc. Her curls dry the slightest bit crunchy, but a light squeeze frees them to a natural bounce. For an organic product the price is great, too! In fact we looked at other Giovanni products and bought some for ourselves. They work great and cost about 25% of what other organics do. Win and win.

Love this product for its true fragrance-free, chemical-free, and conditioning/detangling ability! The only thing I don't like is that it can be over softening of my thin hair to the point it goes limp and won't curl. But if I use literally a few drops (1/4 pea size) and then try to distribute it evenly over my hair, it will work ok.

I ended up purchasing this product because I needed something else to make the shipping free. LOL! But I am glad that I did. I had heard wonderful things about it from other websites devoted to African American Naturally Curly/Coily hair and had always thought "one day" I'll check it out and just haven't in years I've been natural. But to the review: I applied this product to my hair directly after washing and towel drying my hair in sections of four. I was prepping my hair for 2 strand twist. As I started to twist, I noticed that this leave in has some great "slip" to it and it made my hair feel easier to twist. And the ends of my hair seem to curl around each other a little better which cuts down on the amount of gel I have to use. My hair felt like it was better moisturized, softer and it smells pretty good too without being overpowering like other products I have used, it's light and fresh. And the consistency is also light, which is a plus for me since my hair is very thick and any damp product in my hair tends to have an extended amount of time to dry. But the back of my hair was pretty close to dry by the time I was finishing up the front. I've had my twists in for 2 days now and my hair still feels soft and moisturized even though I haven't even sprayed my hair with anything at all. Usually I use a spray moisturizer every day after twisting my hair. I am thoroughly impressed with this product and I actually just looked it up at my local Wal-Mart (because I do not like to depend on products I can't get on a whim with a quick trip down the street) to make sure this is a product I will be able to have in supply whenever I need it.

I use this as part of a next day curl reviver. About an 1/8th cup of this leave-in conditioner, a little bit of coconut oil, and filled to the top with water in a spray bottle gives a great next day curl spray. just saturate the hair and scrunch. This is great because it doesn't leave hair feeling crunchy. My hair feels very soft afterwards and gives my curls definition after sleeping (on a cotton pillow case *gasp*) all night. I'm really pleased with this purchase and imagine I will be buying it for years to come

Love Giovanni's products. This conditioner is.l curly lightweight, close to.a watery like texture. It doesn't weight down hair. Using it on naturally kinky hair. Hoping it will aid in preventing breakage. Only time will tell.

This is another great product from Giovanni Cosmetics, There whole product line is awesome, I've never had so many AWESOME hair days. I just putA some on after washing my hair follow it with their volume boost , takes me 4 mins and my hair looks amazingly healthy , light , and bouncy...You never get that combination with many other leave in conditioners. The prime reason I found about this is because they ARE A CRUELTY FREE COMPANY , Lets keep supporting these companies not only are they being compassionate and socially responsible but they are creating high quality products!

I have been wanting to try this product since i started CGM, just received it the other day and instantly tried it. I like how the texture of it is light and creamy. It has no obvious smell. But it does takes long time to air dry. However! My curls looks well defined after using it and not dry at all even after I sleep! If you have curly hair you must try this product. I would totally recommend this product to a friend.

I really, really didn't like the texture of this. Tbh I only used it once after seeing the texture bc it made me worried about build up. It's really thick and gooey and didnt really hydrate my hair as much as I would like.

This product is purchased by some who have reactions to ingredients in other products and I am one of them. This leave in conditioner does what it says. It conditions your hair and is “weightless”, so it doesn’t leave your hair feeling coated. Because of this, if you needed to apply something else like a curl cream or a gel, it will “ play well” with other products. Most of the time I use the Giovanni Leave In is on it’s own. One bottle lasts me a long time. I don’t find I have to use much of it. It has a wonderful texture and does not irritate my scalp. Excellent for those with shorter hair cuts. I get a softer curl, and hair that I enjoy that does not smell like anything.🙂
