It works great..
As far as the lens is concerned it works great. Darkens instantly never had a issue with arc flash and the delay is long enough that it isn't too bright but not so long that it's a nuisance. Here's the big ole problem gentlemen. The battery life. This thing will die on you in a jiffy unless you are able to keep it in direct sunlight charging every moment that your not using it. And dont expect this little guy to stay charged as long as your welding either. Your arc cant charge it adequately enough to keep from eventually going dead. For me I've started setting my hood on the dash of my truck so it can charge. And I'm usually able to use it for the whole day without any trouble. But I'm not under a hood all shift either. My guess is that assuming you can charge this for 5 hours a day you can weld for 2 hours or so.Pro's - Its ten bucks.Con's - It unusable unless left in the sun every second it's not being used.Would I recommend to a friend? - well hell yeah it's ten bucks.

Great affordable lense
Great for the price and great visibility of welds while working.

Horrible optical quality
I bought this just to review it. It's trash. If it had an EN397 rating it would be 1/3/3/3. The lense is so low quality, if you're using this to weld and you AREN'T someone that welds everyday to put food on the table then you're hampering your ability to learn by doing so. I made three welds with it and tossed it in the trash. Stick with the cheap Tradesman ADC of you're looking to get into one for less than $100.

This works great for my needs I am a hack welder
I read reviews on this & decided to go for despite some negative feedback, Well I am happy to say this work's awesome it reacts instantly now with that being said I am a backyard welder not a full-time making hundreds daily so these are good for my needs, if someone is claiming they are pro welders & spending money on a reasonable priced item it begs to question if they are just full of it. I'm sure they have high quality automated lenses so kick Rock's with your heavy wallet and go buy one.

Ehh
Not bad for price if you’re just doing small jobs and doesn’t have a constant heat on it. After about and hour of welding I had to stop because the lens went to like a number 15 mode if there was one. After I let it cook for a few minutes it was fine for another 10 minutes. Then it wouldn’t darken at all.

Shocked
These things really work. My husband is a welder and I went out on a limb and got one of these for him to try. Well, yesterday I just got one for his fire watch and a couple of others on his crew because everybody wants one now. We are going to keep a supply of these.

Lo sencillo de su utilización
Funciona perfecto.pero en grupos pequeños no va bien, en cuanto el grupo es grande va muy bien no se por qué, pero me gusta como funciona.

Awesome product for its price!!!
A certified CWB welder in Winnipeg, base on my technical assessment on the Variable Auto darkening helmet vs. Origlan auto darkening with the Settings din 3/11, it is true to its settings. Very satisfied & fits perfectly with my old school welding helmet. Perfect for its price can’t go wrong with it. 5 Thumbs up

Great value for price
Works surprisingly well for MIG/metal core welding. Not recommended for SMAW.Quality is somewhat lacking, but you're not buying Miller, are you?Perfect for light to medium welding.
