Rubber pad gets destroyed after first use.
Rubber pad is junk. Strong, durable. Does what it's suppose to do. Does not crush anything larger than a 120z can or bottle. You can however half crush 15oz or larger cans and plastic bottles, then use crusher to crush the rest of the way. I can't stress this enough, do not install in drywall. Use solid wood only, joists. Use all screws provided. Large family has used multiple times daily, every day. No issues other than what's listed. Well worth the money.

Value, durability
I liked for the price of this product it has been holding up quite well now for the last few weeks. Had one incident where one of the screws started coming loose but just tightened it back up and its good as new.

Standard soda can sizes only
Nice all metal construction. Easy to mount on the wall. Easy to operate. However this will not open far enough to do anything taller than the standard soda/beer can size.

Good value
Works as advertised. For an inexpensive crusher this one is well made. The only thing to keep in mind is the size of cans it can accommodate. Anything larger than a standard soda can is too tall. I still crush slightly larger cans but have to squeeze them in at the middle to make them fit. It will not accept tall boys or large cans like 40s. Otherwise it's great. Would recommend.

Crusher
It does its job. Not very sturdy , bottom comes off after couple uses. Alittle pricey for the product.

Sturdy
We recycle lots of cans and this is very sturdy and easy to hang in garage. Would buy again.

disappointed; it's broken already
I only started using this and it's effectively broken. You can see every can I did in the bin. First, the grip/grit tape started tearing after about can 3. It's obvious it doesn't come lubricated or mine didn't; so you feel the metal grinding. I intended to get some something but hadn't yet. The nut with the nylon came off already i.e. dead, until I get a replacement nylon lock nut. In case your wondering, I didn't over press because it has a limited range and stops before there is any real "back-pressure". (This is fine, as designed, just an fyi that you really can't over press unless you do something weird. )Pros:1. Works when it's workingCons:1. Cheaply made (wobble operation)2. Not lubricated3. Grit tape/glue comes off easily (or did on mine)\4. Motion/Mechanism felt sloppy and not well defined. I don't know if that nut was loose from the get go but the joints feel loose regardless. Not a very smooth operation.4. Handle doesn't seem like it will last (other reviewers have said this). So be prepared to replace it.5. Nut came off. Maybe if the unit was lubricated but it wasn't and mine came off.Tips:1. Get the 16 oz; don't get the 12 oz unless you REALLY don't vary in your cans. . Mainly mine are normal 12 oz cans but I have some tall ones that don't fit e.g. tall/skinny 12 oz cans don't fit. It's not much money compared to having cans that you have to deal with separately.2. Lubricate straight out of the box!!!3. Check that the handle nuts are fully onMy Grandfather had one of these (not sure of the brand) in the garage used weekly for around 20 years. This one didn't make it a few weeks.

Didn't last.
I'll admit I really enjoyed crushing cans when I installed this. My first issue was/is that it can only handle 100% normal-sized cans. A slightly taller can made by someone who thinks their drink is special and needs a differently-shaped can is beyond this crusher. My second issue is that it fell apart after about three months. I'm not sure where the chicken and egg are in this story, but the locking nut on the handle came off and the whole thing bent to a pretzel while I was trying to get the glee of crushing a can.So now I have this thing that does nothing screwed to my wall. I'm going to tell people it's modern art. In my kitchen. Next to the refrigerator. Above the trash can. Modern. Art.

Can crusher
This is amazing. It was simple to install as it went on the garage wall stud beside the recycle bin. The unit ordered was the same colour as the wall so it does not stand out. Simple to operate.
