Toddler Refused
My toddler loves the Green Veggies pouch (Spinach, peas, squash, pineapple, and apple) and the pouch with Butternut squash, chickpeas, quinoa, and dates but tasted this one and spit it out. Now refuses to try it again.

Love these. My daughter has growth issues and these have some of the highest calories/per ounce that you can find. I can never find these in the Grocery Store (northeast Ohio) so always purchase on Amazon. They are $$$ but worth the convenience.

I don't think it tastes great, though
Unfortunately, baby just wasn't a fan. I bought these because most pouches on the market are fruit based and I wanted something more veggie based for my son. I don't think it tastes great, though, because my 1 year old always makes a face when I pull it out. It's usually a fight to get him to finish this. Bummer because the nutritional facts on this are great and it's got some wholesome ingredients. Sprout, maybe improve the taste a bit??

Best option for getting baby to eat more veggies
It's incredibly difficult to find baby food that isn't fruit-based/loaded with sugar. I've been searching for vegetable-based purees because even if the sugar is all from natural fruit, it's still sugar. Fruit in the morning and for lunch is fine, but I don't need a sugared-up baby at 10pm on a weeknight. Most of the baby food pouches I've seen in stores, even the meat ones, try to mix in some type of fruit, probably to make it more appealing to the baby. This is one of the few I've found that is low in sugar (5 grams or fewer), doesn't contain fruit or fruit concentrates, and has a decent calorie count. It's perfect for dinner, and my baby loves the taste too. Heck, I'd probably eat it.I hope Sprout Organic expands this line to include other savory veggie blends so that parents have more options besides "sugar" and "more sugar."
