The single-output G2Z mv combatlight--designed and built specifically for tactical use--features a proprietary reflector that shapes the high-output LED's 650 lumens of light into our wide, useful max vision beam optimized for your field of vision. The body is a tough, corrosion-proof Nitrolon polymer, both providing superior scratch, corrosion, and abrasion resistance. The com bat grip design--reduced-diameter mid-section and rubber grip ring--is perfect for flashlight/handgun techniques and also provides a secure hold even with wet, cold, or gloved hands. Features ergonomic tactical switching--press the tail cap switch for momentary-on, twist the tail cap for constant-on.

Highly recommended for low light shooting
Used this 650 Lumens flashlight in two night fire classes; one taught by a former Navy Seal and one by an FBI SWAT team instructor. They recommended this flashlight as well as a 1000 Lumens Surefire light. This flashlight is well constructed, easy to maintain one hand control with the attached rubber grommet and puts out an exceptional amount of light. The ability to lightly touch the on/off button to briefly turn the light on and off is an excellent feature for illuminating the target, getting off the shot(s) and quickly extinguishing the light to again conceal your position. While the 1000 Lumens light was definitely superior illumination wise it is also more than twice as expensive. Also, as explained to me by these instructors, other flashlights with the high, low and strobe features really serve no purpose. You want the light to come on with full illumination and the ability to extinguish it just as fast. Really like this light !!

Exceptional quality
Can’t go wrong with a surefire. Great quality. Good battery life.

My favorite tactical light
Surefire G2Z seems to have the best combination of size/weight/lumens/usefulness of any handheld tactical light. The circular rubber ring around the cylinder also gives you the opportunity to use the "Surefire" position/technique along with the various other techniques when holding a pistol and a separate tactical light. This is small enough that it doesn't get left in the drawer or the car, but powerful enough and with enough battery life to be highly useful. Zero quality or performance issues.

Secondly unlike most lights that have a hot spot this one has an evenly lit area so it is very easy to pick up your sights and see the area ...
I have always been a fan of SureFire flashlights this one continues to perform as expected. The flashlight is noticeably brighter than most flashlights but what really sells it for me is two things in particular. Firstly the flashlight was designed with night fire technique in mind, because of the shape and rubber stop it fits perfectly in between the heal of your palm and your fingers. This way you have minimal disruption of your proper shooting grip. Secondly unlike most lights that have a hot spot this one has an evenly lit area so it is very easy to pick up your sights and see the area in front of you.Highly recommended for LE and Military operationsBackground:Expeditionary Small arms Marksmanship Instructor8+ Years active instruction

Hot light
Just sayin' ....this light gets hot.....quick. Lens temp at 250+ and bezel over 140 degrees in less than 10 minutes run. Measured using Fluke 62 max IR thermometer. I'm not a flashlight test guru, but I own a few. Thought to check it after noticing how hot the light got in a short time.Great beam of light, indoor light is phenomenal. I had a G2Z 60 lumen light years ago and really liked the way it handled. I have an Inforce 500 lumen light (3 123a batts) and it has a heat guard built into the bezel. Not as comfortable in hand but it didn't go over 85 degrees at the bezel in side by side against the Surefire..I shut the Surefire down when the handle started getting hot. And this was done indoors at 68 degrees. So, ya...it's a hot light for sure, interested in what other purchasers have to offer on that.....I really like the light, but only gave 4 stars. Because of the heat, I intend to use it only for tasks that require limited run time.

Great light! Very rugged construction
Great light! Very rugged construction, super bright o. Beam is very well focused with good spread. Tail cap switch is very solid and functions well. It may not have a lot of fancy modes like other lights out there but those are things I did not need. Just a great super rugged tactical light all around.

Dishonest warranty
Warranty can’t be trusted. I contacted them to warranty a flashlight that leaked through the lens gasket in the rain and stopped working and was refused by Trevor Oosterhof, and then their manager Mark A. Nuques who unapologetically contradicted official warranty policy. They offered three reasons for being unable to perform warranty work on my light that I just can’t reconcile. They claimed in direct contradiction of their website: that the warranty was for the life of the product, whereas their website clearly says “during your lifetime”.They claimed that the lens gasket was a wear part. They also claimed that the warranty does not cover damage from, and I quote :“Nor does it cover damage from use, wear, or environmental exposure”Use? I am not allowed to use my 300 dollar flashlight without voiding the warranty? The only justification for paying Surefire prices was the warranty, and without that, there are a dozen brands of equal quality and far better price.
