Using this for my 4TB WD Passport for the past month. I paid $11.99 which was a fair price. * Zipper is smooth and fairly beefy, it's not YKK but it's not bottom tier either. If you take it easy on it, it should hold up for many years. If you take a minute to wax it once a year I think it will hold up almost indefinitely as long as you're not yanking it around. * There is extra space for the cable right next to the drive. You don't have to plug and unplug it every time, saves 30 seconds of fiddling with cables every time I use it versus smaller cases. I use mine about once a day which means if it lasts one year I'll have saved about 3 hours of time fiddling with cables compared to a smaller case. 12 dollars to save 3 hours of time while protecting my HD is a great use of my money. * Semi-hardshell case would do a decent job of protecting from drops from expected height of perhaps 4-5 feet onto hard floors. Fine for storing in a backpack or luggage, but if you step on it or set something heavy directly on it don't expect it to do much. * Rubberized finish is nice and keeps it from sliding around too much on tables. It should be reasonably resistant to rain as well, though obviously the zipper is not. Drop it in a puddle and your HD will be swamped.

I bought this to keep a Simrex X300C mini drone, controller, batteries, and spare parts in while traveling. Everything fits very nicely and the hard case keeps the drone safe.

This zippered case is great for protecting your WD external hard drive as well as space for holding cables, sd cards, etc. It is not bulky so fits well inside of laptop or laptop backpack. The price is worth it, I just the zippers would be a little smoother around the corners of the case. I am always afraid that they will break and not becuase of what's in the case but just because of how the corners are. I highly recommend it for those who travel for business or want to protect their drives from damage when not being used. Very durable and I had no issues when going through TSA with them. They did open to check them but the man that opened them asked me where I got it as he thought it was very nice and he hadn't seen anything like it before. Of course I said Amazon. We both smiled. 4 star rating is only because of my fear of the zipper breaking on the corners, otherwise it's a 5.

The cases are as described in the pictures and descriptions. The zip is a little stiff, but moves better after a few pulls. It's Alps long enough to store your exrtenal drive with thr USB cable plugged in, for those inclined to not damage the port by constant jacking of the USB out socket.

Very handy, lots of room for my passport drive, cables, & extra USB drive. Quick, Easy, Portable, Protecting, looks good, nice case. Would recommed.

This is exactly what the pictures and description say it is. It is a very sturdy carrying case for small electronics. I got it to house my WD Passport EHD. It does exactly that, and has room for other small items. You can't really put a USB hub or a cell phone in the case, but you can carry small electronics. I was pleased with this product.

This case allows me to secure a Seagate drive and leave the cord plugged in to the drive, eliminating the need to remove that special plug every time. Those cord plugs are really tight and I've always worried about wearing the plug itself out. The computer end of the cord is standard USB. Old habits die hard. This drive is the backup that I take with me when I leave the house.

I bought this to have extra cable storage as I thought my 4TB WD My Passport drive had a shorter cable. It's 18 inches and stores well, I don't even need to take the drive out of the case. There IS storage for flash drives in the padded separator, but with the thick 4TB WD drive I could not close the case properly with flash drives mounted in the flap. My THIN Seagate 640GB drive would be thin enough to use the flash drive holders. This is the only negative, that with a thicker drive the flash drive holders are not really usable. But I CAN keep a retractable USB cable as a spare extension and room for some flash drives that would basically be over where you see the cable stored in the picture. The case is very solid and nicely padded. While any rough treatment of a hard drive even when it's off is a very bad thing, I would be comfortable putting this in a bag or backpack. It would protect against other items in the bag. It was well worth the money. Some of the smaller cases looked like they might not hold my WD drive. Apparently older My Passport drives had very rounded corners and this one is very sharp square corners. This drive fits under the strap and is about the same level as the zipper in the case. There is good storage in it. Glad I bought this.
