American PlumberW5CIP Undersink Filter Replacement Cartridge (2-Pack)

Our water tank went out a couple months back and the plumber who replaced it asked what filter I was using for our in-home water filtration system. He recommended the American Plumber WSCIP filter. He thought that with just two old people in the house, our water needs would be such that we would not have to change the filter but every three months. I took his advice, but I change the filter every two months. The previous filters I used were smaller and I changed them each month. My wife is sensitive to the taste and odor of chlorine, and thus far, she has not been able to detect chlorine in the finished water. I have nothing but positive opinions about these filters.

I was way overdue on changing my filter, but could not find a match between the model number of my filter housing and the available filters. After some looking, I found this item which looked like the filters I had, and I took a chance. They fit and work fine. I will be changing these every couple of months from now on. When I first took off the casing for the filter, the water was off-color and the filter was slimy. Definitely change the filter every 2-3 months.
