Price is nice for 2 Hinges - Most Others Triple the Price for 2. Holds Well.
This is my review as of right now. My husband was able to install these on my 2004 Ford Explorer after I opened the back window a couple of days ago and I was holding the glass in my hand! I was lucky I grabbed it and the other hinge on the other side was still on. My son was there and was able to take it apart so it would hold until these came in. Looking at reviews I was a bit worried, but for 1/3 of the cost of new ones at the auto parts store we decided to give these a try. I would give them 5 stars, but took it down to 4 since we had to use a part off of the old ones to make them work. As long as these hold, I would give them 5 stars for that and the price. I know that these hold well since they didn't get the bottom of the door latched after we fixed both of the hinges... when I was driving down the road my window flung open (with these APDTY hinges on it) and the window stayed attached!! Whew!!

Gets the job done
I have a 2004 Ford Explorer on which the back glass hatch decided to knock me into next week when I tried to shut it after unloading groceries the other day, left hinge just snapped in half. I've had this truck since 2007 and the worst that's ever happened is replacing the battery so I wasn't about to give up on it over a little ol glass hinge so I bought this set. Yes, mine arrived looking just like all the other photos... banged up, bubbly/chipping black paint- everything. However, my explorer looks strikingly similar to Disney's "Tow Mater" at this point so, these hinges are the nicest thing on the truck by now. The headache was installing, if you have a hardhat or any kind of helmet, I sincerely recommend it- your head it going to take a beating in this process, even with someone helping you. I knocked off a star for the lack of torx screw spacer, which I was aware of thanks to the reviews and I solved it by applying a thick layer of clear kitchen and bath silicone caulk around the glass hole opening before securing the torx screw. Worked like a charm in filling in that gap. Just don't let the excess that squeezes out harden. When all is said and done, I got the window securely back on and I'm back on the road again with my trusty Ford.

Much better than the Dorman 924-160 in my opnion.
Fit and finish are great. Direct and proper fit.To me definitely worth the extra 20% or so above the cost of the Dorman product. See my Dorman 924-160 review.Would have given the 5 stars but just as Dorman these do not include the plastic centering washers for the glass side fastener.I would like to have had them new also even if it cost me an extra $1 or $2. I am sure you would like new also. Reluctantly I reused the oem plastic washers and one day I will stop at a Ford/Lincoln - Merc dealership and buy a couple. Why the hell don't they include these? Strictly a Ford OEM item? Absolutely not. Just not likely to be at your local hardware store. Grainger, McMaster-Carr, Fasten-all maybe.PS: The local Ford and Lincoln Merc dealer-ships here ships ran from a low of $81 to a high of $96 plus tax. I don't know that they included the washers or not.OEM Ford kit on E-bay was about $65 plus or minus hassle factor.

Good fitment, relatively easy install.
These hinges are a great deal compared to other sites that sell the individuals for the price of this pair. Bought them to replace the broken OEM hinges on a 2005 Explorer and the quality is basically the same as the OEM parts which given enough time of course, we'll see if that holds true. Installation was relatively easy, plenty of guides on YouTube on how to do this particular install but I will note the replacement nuts are actually 10mm instead of the OEM 11mm, in case you find your wrench slipping. Fitment is basically spot on, and while it takes a bit of fiddling to get them to sit correctly, the end result looks great and eliminated any sort of weirdness the liftgate had with the broken OEM hinges.Overall, a great buy if you have this common problem with your SUV.

Good part for the price...
I will say, I was kind of unimpressed but this item for my SUV. I bought these because I have a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT, and one of these hinges were broken when I purchased the vehicle. The actual Ford dealers around my area (within a 100 mile radius) wanted $179 for the hinges they provide, and they is without installation. I was excited to find them as such good price, however, when I took off the old hinge that was not damaged, I compared the 2 realizing the quality was a lot different. I have had these on my vehicle for less than 2 years and they are already coming apart. These were installed by a professional mechanic as well, so installation was not the issue. I guess I had just expected for them to last a little longer. However, for the price and performance or the actual item, they were worth the price and I would recommend them to a friend, but with the review I have written here.

adequate replacement product, plastic washers not included.
product was up to standard and reasonably priced compared to auto retailers. included new bolts.did purchase hard plastic washers/insulators separately from the dealership as those were not included. would have been nice if they were, but the pair of washers was nominal cost (less then $5.00). you might be able to reuse your existing washers depending on condition, but might as well buy new ones since inexpensive. installation would best include 2 persons.

Check all your hardware first.
These are ok. The main problem I had was I had lost one of the bolt/ washer that holds the upper part of the hinge to the door body. The threads on these studs are fine and do not match Ford OE nuts which are coarse thread. I had to go to the hardware store and get a new nut and washer. However the bolt/ washer I didn't lose did fit. So maybe it's a Ford issue, either way, don't lose the nut / washer device. It would be best if these came with the nut washer as well.

Good hinges.
Easy install. Would have been better if the gasket was rubber like the original however they fit fine. Oh by the way, on a 2002-03 Explorer these are a recalled part. You can get it fixed for free at the Ford dealer. I didn't because I didn't have the time to let them have the vehicle all day for a 20 min. fix. I went for the 60 bucks and did it myself. 2 out of 10 for difficulty of install.
