Late July Blue Corn Organic Tortilla Chips, 10.1 Oz Bag

These Late July Blue Corn Organic Tortilla Chips arrived in a box with 15 pounds of flour, so I initially thought they would be crushed! Other things had been damaged, and after giving the bag a little shake, I thought, “Ugh, these are broken.” I went ahead and opened them to taste, and surprisingly, they had made it! These are large, thick, very sturdy chips. We used them for homemade nachos. I browned a pound of hamburger meat with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and cumin. The onion powder and chili powder also came from Amazon. I layered the chips with shredded sharp cheddar, seasoned meat, and refried beans, then put them under the broiler. Afterward, we topped everything with salsa, avocado, sour cream, and jalapeños. My husband really liked this meal! The freshness and crunch were excellent, with a clean taste and no unpleasant aftertaste. The saltiness was perfect for my taste, and the beautiful blue corn color looked wonderful with all those toppings. Their size and thickness made them a great choice for loaded nachos, and their durability impressed me before I even started cooking! For the quality and how well they worked for our meal, I consider them a worthwhile purchase. I will definitely buy them again! Helpful tip: Add salsa, sour cream, and avocado after broiling, right before serving, to help preserve that delicious crunch.

These are good, but has a strong smell of South Eastern rice that I don’t care for. No more purchase.

This is my new favorite Chip! I like it because it's low on salt. It's also blue. How many things can you eat that are blue that are low on salt!? It's very tasty. I don't feel that it is overly oily tasting either like many similar items on the market. It's a gamble though having it delivered. Sometimes as I have ordered it a few times now, it comes completely flattened and just a bunch of bits and crushed pieces.

Product in itself is good but now inedible and crushed and covered in laundry soap. This is the second time Amazon packed a soft item in with heavy items causing the laundry soap to leak all over the larger inside package and the other heavy delivered item “Boost” crushed the chips! Stop using plastic bags on items that need boxes!

The bag had popped open during shipping, Alot of chips ended up in the bottom of the box. I believe, some extra paper put around the chips would have protected it. Don't care to eat the ones outside of the bag but, will enjoy the other chips, pieces and all. I love that these chips are not too salty. Reading the reviews, this is an issue for all chips.
