Hops Flowers - Dried Humulus lupulus Loose Tea from 100% Nature (2 oz)

I used these hops flowers to make a tea in the evening, and they were exactly what I was looking for. The hops arrived quickly and well packages. I am planning to use them for making a hops tincture, and am currently waiting for my first batch to brew, so I won't know the results for a few weeks. They appeared dried, as expected. When I opened the bag, however, I found the smell of them to be overpowering, and for me personally, overpowering in a bad way and stomach turning. I have never been able to stand the funk of cannabis, and this smelled a LOT like it - my understanding is they're from the same family, so I guess I should have expected this might happen. I really hope the end results are worth it - the hops themselves looked fine, but OOOF - that smell! I honestly don't know if this is normal for dried hops, so we will see I guess.

I have not had any alcoholic beverages for over 25 years. I have had beers before then, and liked and disliked the effect of alcohol. Pros-make me feel good for a while, Cons-make me feel bad the next morning. This hop tea taste like a stale beer after all the fizz is gone, but drinkable. Beer lovers told me that beer make them happy campers. Hop by itself may have that effect, small but its effect is there. In my opinion, hop works similar to kava kava. And no hangover next morning. I did not go to doctors to confirm this, but hop may lower cortisol-stress hormone. Be happy.

I was struggling with falling asleep. The only thing that most likely would help was benadryl. Or alchogol. Benadryl i think i should not use at all, was kind of forced by doctor. And alchogol is obviously is not a permanent solution and could become a problem. So I desperately was looking for something else, as many options are not ok for me ( like melatonin ) or not strong enough. I read once in one of herbalists groups about hops as a remedy. I finally looked through the options on Amazon. And desided to ho with this one. It appears to work great for me. I steep it and use as tea. It makes me sleepy, and I do fall asleep If I cool it down, it tastes like beer :). Great, cause I can not drink beer at the moment. I also happy I found it as a dry herbs vs pills, as pills usually have extra additives, that I am happy to avoid.

I opened them right after I got them and the hops were off color and smelled like cheese. You can't return them, because they are food... I guess. So they were just pricy sad garbage. Also I had to wait more than reasonable time for them. Get your hips somewhere else. This item alone is why I will not order "food" from Amazon now.

HIGH QUALITY, Very happy. I Chop and smoke blended with organic tobacco (plus a little white sage), so i would know if this was not good quality, or if it had chemicals or pesticides sprayed on it. This cured both my severe insomnia and my anxiety disorder.

The quality is the same or better than my local herb shop. I use the same batch for 2 nights and then replace. Also figured out to rub the hops to fan them out. They will go further that way. So far much better than chamomile! And a gummy melatonin doesn't hurt.
