Gripping story in its own right! Plenty of space between lines of print to note translations of new words (as with all of Sonia*s stories). Very enjoyable and effective way of progressing with Italian.

I have read 3 of Sonia's books now and this one is by far the best. All of them are superb, invaluable resources to improve your understanding of the Italian grammatical structures and helpful in boosting vocabulary levels. Simply read and enjoy, don't use a dictionary; pick up the general understanding and you will see repeated words and learn the flow of sentences through osmosis. Don't think, buy.

I like these stories. The Italian is a good level for me and the idioms are very entertaining. This is a good story with a likeable protagonist. I think Sonia's stories are getting better!

I bought this book to read over Christmas. I am just sad that I've finished it! A fantastic read, as always, by author Sonia Ognibene. I have read all her books and am just waiting for her to write the next one. The level is correct. I love the summary at the end of each chapter. Reading that confirms whether or not I've understood the plot. Do not hesitate to buy any of her books.

I have all but one of Sonia’s books and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. The stories are very interesting and fun to read. The A2-B1 level is ideal for me and even if I don’t understand every word the first time I find this improves on every re-reading or checking a dictionary. The summaries after each chapter are great in helping to reinforce understanding. Sonia’s tips at the beginning provide essential advice on how to get the best from each book. The stories also allow a little learning about Italy and Italian culture. I highly recommend all of Sonia’s books.

I'm at a low intermediate level in Italian. This was a perfect book for me. Not to hard but not too easy either. The story was interesting enough that I wanted to keep reading at the end of each chapter. This was my first Sonia Ognibene book but it won't be my last. Sonia, please keep writing! Aspiring italian speakers need more books like this.

Muy bueno, es el tercero que leo de ella. Totalmente recomendable y si estás aprendiendo, aún mejor.También tiene explicaciones sobre frases hechas o formas de hablar

Questa storia è molto buona per stranieri che imparano l'italiano. Ho comprato insieme l'altre storie. Ogni giorno sto leggendo uno o due capitolo, due volte. Quando leggo secondo volta, prendo nota di parole che non so, come studiare lezione. Vi ringrazio.

I really enjoy Sonia’s books. The level of writing works well and is enabling me to add to my Italian vocabulary. This story has a lot of twists and turns. Very enjoyable.
