Don’t believe the product title or description this does not fit the BBSHD motor chainring mount. The holes aren’t even close! It is made of very light metal and would probably not hold up to the motor torque anyway. Shame on the seller for lying to us good hearted BBSHD owners! Returned asap.

Works great to allow the use of inexpensive 104BCD chainrings on your Bafang mid-drive e-bikes. Bafang chainrings are more expensive, but more importantly not as readily available as general use 104 BCD rings. When I installed my BBS02 conversion kit I guesstimated I needed a 46T chain ring since 46T/11T is my Sweet spot on my other bikes. This didn't work and I spent a few days swapping out different sized chainrings that I bought and some I had in my spare parts drawer before finally settling on a 50T. If not for this adapter I would have bought about 5 Bafang chainrings and would have waited at least 3 to 4 days each time I ordered a different size to try.This is not a perfect solution for everyone. It causes the chain line to move slightly farther from the bottom bracket. In my case this was ideal, but if you need the chain line to rest closer toward the frame of the bike, this may not work for you. In my case, I needed to move the line to the right so this adapter a couple of spacers and a little tuning of my derailleur and I got it working perfectly. If this is your situation, I'd give it a try considering how inexpensive this adapter is compared to its versatility.

I had to add two layers of washers between my motor and the bracket so the four screws on the sprocket did not rub the motor, they needed to be shaved down on one side to fit around the circle part of the motor. Also I installed the bracket backwards from what is shows on their pics to allow some more room while keeping my chain line. I’m not sure why it was so far off but after some searching and looking at different ads for these I found one that showed washers as spacers. I also had to get 5 longer screws to accommodate this change. 32 tooth sprocket

I had to stack up 2 spacer washers behind and use longer bolts in order to get clearance from the motor. I was using an aluminum chainring. It also brings the driveline out further so it was on a very big cross-chain angle to access the lower gears. I ended up disassembling my rear cassette and rearranging the sprockets, then turning in the adjustment screws on the rear derailleur to go from a 9 speed to a 7 speed with the largest sprocket being moved 2 positions in.
