Its what was needed during my renovation

If you own or maintain a home on any amount of land, you know how many various projects there are on the never ending to-do list and while a step stool or ladder come in handy for height, I got this for completing various projects that didn’t need much height but using a ladder or step stool was too repetitive. For example, cleaning the gutters or hanging holiday lights from the lower roof, I normally need to move a ladder or stool every few feet. Or painting indoors a standard 8-12ft ceiling this helps a lot for providing me a stable surface to stand on and width to extend my range before I need to move it. I’ve even used this to stand on to reach a tree limb with my extension saw that I otherwise would not be able to reach, while a ladder would be downright unsafe to use.Not that it’s hard or takes a long time to set up, but it doesn’t just pop into place as you need to screw or unscrew thumb bolts to secure or break down. I wouldn’t say it’s smooth, but for the stability factor I believe that’s kind of the goal.Compared to similar platforms on the market and/or at my local big box store, I would rate it as an affordable alternative. It’s fairly lightweight as well, which makes moving and storage a breeze. It also is fairly compact when broken down, creating a fairly small amount of space taken up. Without a ton of storage space available in my garage, this alone makes it convenient to have around.All in all, I like this a lot and believe it has saved me a ton of time and served its purpose for my various needs over the last 6 months or so I have had it.

Most of the welds are bad, dented material slapped together. Some metal was already rusting and the parts that are supposed to move don’t work well. Also, I’m pretty sure I got lead poisoning just handling it a couple minutes, my hands turned silver and was hard to wash off. Definitely a return.

My husband does work on homes, including painting and siding and other things that require a platform.HOW THIS COMESThis comes folded up and stores easily in a smaller area- that is why he wanted it.DOES IT WORK WELL?This works well if it is on a stable ground. He said that this needs to be fairly stable and not iffy. It can be adjusted, but you still need to be careful when placing it and using it. He is not a huge guy so for him it works out very well.WEIGHTLike I said, he is a smaller framed guy and not huge, so this works out well for him. He said that someone very large might not get as good of use out of this as he does. It is much better than some of the scary things he rigs up on his own, I will say.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is good if you are not too huge and if you have it on stable ground.
