Great book for kids.
Book doesn’t go as in depth as adult version but does a great job of keeping things interesting and my kids attention. Able to reference it to motivate my kid. Overall a great book.

Such a great book!
Book report from my kid (warrior kid:): The Way Of The Warrior Kid is a great book.It is written by Jocko Willink and illustrated by Jon Bozak. The way of the warrior kid is about a boy named Marc.He thinks he is very weak by not being able to do a single pull up , not knowing his time tables, and by not knowing how to swim.On the last day of school he gets to see his Uncle Jake from the Navy SEALS.Uncle Jake helps Marc get stronger every day. As Uncle Jakes tells Marc that he will turn him into a warrior kid Marc gets super excited.Uncle Jake then tells him that he will be able to do at least 10 pull-ups ,know all his times tables ,and know how to swim by the end of the summer.Every morning uncle Jake wakes Marc up super early to get him ready for the day.He then shows some basic workouts.Uncle Jake takes Marc to the garage and shows him a pull-up bar.Marc tries to do a pull-up but he can’t.Jake shows him the steps to do a pull-up.The next day Jake gets some multiplication flash cards and helps Marc get better at his times tables. The next day uncle Jake takes Marc to a jitsu class.Marc was pretty nervous but the teacher was very calm and helped Marc. After jitsu uncle Jake takes Marc to the lake.Uncle Jake tells Marc to swim to other side of the lake.Marc was scared but uncle Jake would be right next to him.Marc then made it to other side!He was so happy. After that Marc was able to do 10 pull-ups ,all of his times tables ,and know how to swim.Marc was getting very good at jitsu and knew how to defend.Just like that Uncle Jake had to leave to go back to his job.Marc was super sad but know he’s not just a kid he’s warrior kid.At school Marc stands up for him self and others. He is doing great at math and gym.His record for pull-ups is 14!He also is teaching others some basic jitsu. All of the kids ask him:how did you get so strong.Marc always says PRACTICE.This book was a great adventure! What I learned was that it does not matter how you end up, it matters how you got there. What I really liked about the book was that it was a good storyline and moral. What I would like to apply is that Marc practiced a lot on swimming so when I go to swim team in the fall I will practice and work hard too.I hope you read this book and work hard too.

Just read it!
I highly recommend this book. It says ages 7-10 but my teens, 14 &16 have both enjoyed all three books and it is HIGHLY motivating. My son joined Jujitsu and started setting his own goals- previously a kid with no interests. My daughter has become more dedicated to her instruments and hobbies and limiting her own media time. She has been waking up to her alarm clock, which is a milestone 😂 and working out.Read it to your kids. If your a teacher, read it to your class. my husband and I are about to read it because…. It’s really worked wonders even for teenagers. When we asked them what’s so motivating about it they said it teaches discipline and how discipline and just working towards your goals, even when you don’t feel like it, feels better and helps you achieve what you want.

A great motivator for young boys.
I could almost write a book in praise of the Warrior Kid books. I stumbled on them by accident, but when I read the synopsis, I recognized my 13 year old grandson in the character Marc. My grandson is smart enough, but he has rarely demonstrated any ambition or initiative to better himself. Rather, he has always been content coast, stepping up to do things only when directed. He was also somewhat soft and would over react to minor hurts that his two younger sisters would laugh off. There is no father at home. I enrolled him in the Boy Scouts and at the dojo where I train in martial arts. He has enjoyed both, but again, only went as far as he was led. I purchased and read the first book and one of my first thoughts was that I wished someone had given a book like this to me when I was a youngster. It is full of excellent advice and ideas for young boys, but it is written in such an engaging manner so as to be just a darn good and enjoyable story too. Having satisfied myself that it was a good choice, I passed it on to my grandson. He couldn’t put it down and there has been a very obvious and positive change in him. A few days after reading Warrior Kid, he came to me on his own initiative and asked me to test him on his multiplication tables. I had made flash cards for him months ago, but they were only used when someone required it. I was beginning to think that he would never be able to do simple multiplication in his head. This time we went through all 100 cards and he missed only two. He had studied on his own and had a great success. He has become more open and talkative about what is on his mind and he even stood in front of his class at the dojo and gave a talk about the Warrior Kid books. My daughter bought the second for him and he likes it even better than the first. In summary all I can say is thank you Jocko Willink. On a related note, I am a retired Marine and I have an acquaintance who is a former SEAL and who served with Jocko. He speaks highly of him as a person. I am not surprised.

Simple Truths explained in relatable format of Uncle-nephew relation
Ordered this book for my kid after hearing about it on one of Jocko Willink's podcasts. Heartened to find that this book stands tall and strong on its own merits and doesn't piggyback on the author's celebrity image. The Uncle character is effectively used as a vehicle to explain life truths to a young soul and prepare him for the journey ahead. Illustrations helped keep the kid engaged and would love future books to have more illustrations/comic book format might also work very successfully for such type of content. This book is useful to explain basic life habits to kids and build productive habits and resilience in them. Adults will enjoy the book as well.

Inspirational. Crisp and A Must Read for anybody from age 11+
I heard about this book from Marc Zukerberg, Founder of Facebook. He made this book read to his kids. Very simple to read. Crisp. The illustrations used are very good. The message delivered and the way it's delivered is awesome.
