A Small Amount Is All You Need. Superb For Dried Acrylic Paint. Almost No Odor !
>.. I use this in very small amounts, 10ml or less as a rule. It works wonders at removing dried acrylic paint from many surfaces. Sort of works on cloth, though not as thoroughly as it does on paint brushes. After machine washing and drying, I can reduce the paint on the cloth, but cannot remove it entirely. I suspect the dissolved paint enters the fibers and stays there.>.. BUT, fresh paint on cloth, dried paint but not previously machine washed and dried, dissolved completely the paint and by putting a cotton ball behind the paint, and using a cotton-tipped applicator with this solvent got the paint between the cotton, and the applicator leaving the cloth paint free! OUTSTANDING!>.. In addition, I have removed all the paint from some rocks that I had painted and was unhappy with. Draped a paper towel over the dried paint on the rock, poured a very small amount of the product over the rock, and allowed it to work over several hours. Then used a plastic scraper to clean off the paint, right down to the rock's surface, allowing me to reuse that rock.>.. Much as I hate to admit this, i do not always clean my brushes thoroughly. I make amends to those brushes by putting a small amount of this cleaner into a small plastic jar, and let the brush(es) soak over night, and then remove them for a thorough cleaning in the sink. The paint that had gathered at the point where the bristles are clamped by the metal ferrule now is ready to release the paint that was there. Dip, wait, clean; very easy and very simple.

Remarkable product for brush recovery
This cleaner removes oil or acrylic that has dried into brushes, and has rescued many of my favorites. Most effective on natural bristles. While near odorless, it is not to be trifled with...it can strip the paint off brush handles too, so avoid getting it on your skin. A little goes a long way and the liquid can be kept and reused.

Using this to get acrylic paint out of clothing
I use this to get acrylic artist’s paint out of my t-shirts. And it works particularly well on paint that has not be pushed or smeared to deeply into the fabric. Although, it will often work - with some vigorous brushing and additional applications - on deeper penetration as well. I’ve used this product to restore brushes too. It’s a good product. BTW, this product does not react to the dye in my shirts. But it may in yours. Probably best to test before you douse your favorite shirt with this stuff.

Works well
This brush cleaner is great! It cleans oil paint of your brush in minutes, the process is pretty easy and the instructions are very helpful as well. The after picture isn't leftover paint my brush is just stained, but you can definitely tell a difference between the two pics. The only problem is if the cleaner touches the handle of your brush it will mess it up a bit. So only pour a little in your (glass) cup that way it only touches the bristles and not the handle. (Make sure to read the instructions on the bottle to help you with the process) And the last thing is keep it away from cuts, it burns really bad, so be careful. Other than that I think this is a great product, I highly recommend!

Cant say enough good things about this product!
Such a great —and powerful— product! I only occasionally use this on my brushes, but it is a WONDER for removing paints or residues from many surfaces. It totally got a bunch of dried latex paint out of jeans & a shirt I thought were ruined from brushing up against wet paint at work. (My colleagues call it Jesus’s Tears, for its miraculous results. They now stock a big bottle in the supply cabinet.) That said— it is STRONG, & will melt surfaces if left on too long. After using Windsor & Newton brush cleaner on a surface, you also need to completely clean it away with rubbing alcohol &/or soap & water. It is a paint remover, but without the noxious smell. I use it for household tasks, often instead of Goo-Gone or scrapers.

This new version is obviously different and obviously inferior
I've used this brand's product for years and it's been my go-to for cleaning even old, dried brushes. I finally ran out of my stock and had to re-order and noticed a change in label, but hoped that was just it - a brand refresh.I was so wrong. This new version, right away looks and smells different, and has a different consistency. The old product almost felt a bit like an oil or a spirit of some sort, THIS feels and acts like barely soapy water. The old product would eat through paint and would immediately start showing results. This new stuff barely does anything or has dissolved any paint after an hour or more of soaking. The old product didn't foam up like soap when you swished a brush around in it.Save your money and try and find something else - I know I certainly regret my decision to purchase the biggest size of this - now I'm stuck with a big bottle of useless liquid.
