Filet Crochet: Learn the Timeless Art of Filet Crochet

Definitely for beginners not a lot of information.
This book is definitely not for advanced crocheters. If you know how to crochet and you want the basics of filet crochet then it’ll be a good book to have. It shows you how to read graphs, teaches you the basics of filet crochet, and gives you a few patterns. Here is my issue with the book. I honestly thought that it would be a little longer. It’s not a horrible book but I was disappointed that it didn’t contain more information on the art. Also the patterns are just for practicing they’re not extravagant pieces. I’ll include pictures of it so everyone can see what I’m talking about. My pictures turned out darker than I wanted but you can still see what I am talking about. Overall the book is great for beginners but if you are a just starting out there are better books out there that would have a lot more information. I gave them 4 stars because it does have good information it just doesn’t have enough.

No hint of how to make or count stitches!
I'm not sure what the purpose of this book is. Like most people I can already read a grid chart. But i don't know how to make a crochet stitch, or count them when I see them. What is a double stitch? This book, though inexpensive is a poor purchase for a knitter who wants to learn to filet crochet. I'm no better off than I was before I read it!

Finally master filet crochet!
Love this book! I've alway's loved crocheting but the filet style had always been so difficult for me. This books easy to follow diagrams made it easy to understand. I now feel confident in my filet crocheting abilities and can't wait to get started on my next project. I also love that the book includes various sticks such as the lacet, split mesh, open mesh and rectangles. There's also a handy size chart for afghans.

A Good Reference
This is a good book. It sticks to the topic with clear concise and organized explanations. There are pics and charts and tables. I am glad to have this as an additional reference book.

? Haven't done any yet
Prefer pattern be done with the dots and crochet figures, I find the dark area to be in dots is much easier to understand and count

Very poor value for money
If you want to know about filet crocheting use YouTube. This leaflet is vastly overpriced. The typeface is tiny and the photos are amateur. Don't waste your money or your time- you will only be returning it for a refund

Fine for crochet beginners.
Very basic. As an experienced crocheter, I was looking for something more advanced. Ideal for crochet beginners though. Not a lot of patterns either.
