Vionic womens Tide flip flop

I bought two weeks prior to my weekend away so my feet could get used to them and because so many who had plantar fasciitis said it really helped them. I received on time, the look of the flip flop is nice and seem well made. The support is there - but the flip flop sole is harder than expected - very slight cushion and my expectation is the flip flop would give support and have cushion. On the day i did the most walking - the flip flop held up and everything was fine as i walked - but the next day when I woke up - I had one of the worse pain and discomfort from my plantar fasciitis. I recommend these for light walking only - not take for the weekend and wear when going to walk a lot.

Apparently, Vionic changed the straps on these sandals rendering them way too big to fit properly. The length may be right but there's so much space between the strap and my actual foot that they just flop around - completely negates any "support".

Some of these styles only come in medium/wide but that is not disclosed by the retailer on Amazon. I purchased these shoes from Vionic directly once before and the medium wide was way to big and I returned them. So when I saw them on Amazon, I jumped to buy them thinking they would be of regular width and they weren’t. I don’t think Vionic made this particular style in anything other than med/wide.

I usually wear 7 or 71/2. I bought size 7. Length was perfect, but these sandals are too wide. Even in the medium. They are too high above top of foot. I couldn’t keep them on my foot. I am bummed out.

These are my house shoes, I never go barefoot anymore due to a bout of severe plantar fasciitis about 10 years ago. These sandals helped immensely and I buy a new pair every year, the pain has never came back. They may take some getting used to the arch support but they work. For me I always order one size down in this brand of sandals. The reason is that the arch support elevates my foot into it's natural shorter shape. My feet have spread one whole size over the years and this sandal restores it while I am wearing it.
