The back support doesn't seem to work, it tilts backwards when you lean on it.

I suffer from sciatica and lumbago, which I believe has been caused by sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day for the last 30 years. So I ordered a variable height desk, and got this stool to go with it.The described measurements were a bit off - the max height is described as 30.3" but is only 28". This is probably enough for most people, but I'm over 6", and I want to be able to almost stand, so it mattered to me. However, when I pointed this out to the seller, they responded immediately and sent me a longer gas-lift, so I am 100% satisfied with their excellent service (you can also buy these lifts for about £12, so it's not a major issue).The stool arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. It feels sturdy in its construction and adjusts easily. The seat is not the most comfortable I've sat on, but that's a good thing. When office chairs are too comfortable, it's all too easy to sit in the same position for 8 hours without moving. The slight discomfort of this stool makes me shift position much more regularly.You can also use the stool in all sorts of configurations. I sometimes stand up, with one leg slung over the stool for support, sit on it side-saddle for a rotational stretch, or even sit on it back-to-front which delivers a nice stretch to the lower back.As it can be raised to any height, combined with a similarly variable desk it allows me to sit at lots of different heights, each of which creates a different angle between my legs and pelvis, and thereby flexes my spine differently at each different height. After using it for a couple of weeks, I've noticed a significant reduction in my back pain.In summary, if you suffer from lower back issues, this will help immensely.

This is a height-adjustable stool with castors like an office chair, and a saddle off a Harley!My office /study / den / hobby room / music room is not really big enough for all the things I use it for. During the day I write reviews and do boring office stuff. In the evening I play computer games, make models, play guitar and record music. Until now I've been making do with a tatty, falling apart office chair. It's far from ideal, as the arms get in the way if I want to play guitar, but also are not height adjustable. Basically it's wrong in every way! I need a new one, but I don't really want to compromise and try to do everything with one chair.This is the answer. This stool will roll under my desk, so I can use it for model making, card games and guitar playing, and move it out of the way when I don't need it. I can now get a proper office chair to use at the computer, and stop compromising.As an added bonus, because there is no back to the stool, it makes me sit up properly. Slouching in my knackered old chair isn't doing my back any good.The saddle seat is way more comfortable than it looks. It's fairly tall - on it's lowest setting it's a smidge higher than my office chair. At full height it's more like a bar stool and I can't actually get my feet on the ground. At a more sensible height, it's absolutely perfect for me if I'm doing some recording with my home studio. I'm the right height for playing guitar, I can reach the controls on the interface and rack units, and there are no arms to get in the way.The seat has five legs and five pairs of twin castors. It will even roll on the stupidly deep-pile carpet in my den.I am finding this to be really useful. It's comfortable and does exactly what I needed it to do. I might even get another one - maybe with the lower back support this time - to use with my sewing machine.At first I thought it was a bit expensive, but it's well made. The base unit is a solid casting. The height adjustment cartridge is solid and works really well. And I'm not joking when I say the seat is off a Harley- I own a Harley with a seat just like this!Definitely recommended.

Bought this item specifically because it alleges to be the tallest at 30.3 inches. However, this is not the case. It extends to 28 inches maximum.Customer support couldn't be less helpful. They claim it's not their problem and I can solve it myself by purchasing another cylinder for 30 pounds. Ridiculous!Avoid if you are like me and require a taller item!
