works on 1986 mustang V6
worked to replace original piece on factory gas tank on 1986 V6 mustang. at first I thought it would be too small, but the rubber grommet came off of the old one. (I had snapped the tube removing the hose on the old one, this one fit perfectly. sure it's just a one way valve and a plastic tube, but it's important to make a seal so that fumes don't escape from the tank.

These things probably never wear out, but I like these and the grommet slash seal changed anytime maintenance is done on the tanks and or pumps of all my 9th gen pickup trucks. I'd suggest shopping these out and trying to get the best deal with seals that fit fit your ride, what ever it may be. I got these for my 95 150 and with the proper seal will work on all my 92-95's. I haven't been in my 96 OBD II TRUCK as of yet . Only my guess that these will probably fit 8th gen ford trucks as well .

Fuel tank vent valve
This fuel tank vent valve was easy to install with the rubber gasket I didn't had any trouble at all I ordered it for a 1984 Ford Thunderbird 3.8V6 engine I took the old one out and the rubber seal as well i ordered it from Amazon it fix perfectly no problem what so ever I like it

The old Ford Trucks, with two fuel tanks, used two different styles of fuel tank Vent Valves. The first type has one port and fits the fuel tanks, and EVAP system, for the 4.9 and 5.0 engine. The second type has two ports and fits the fuel tanks, and EVAP system, for the 5.8 engine. The fuel tank Vent Valve gaskets are also different for the different engine sizes.
