Hobart 770066 Straight Head Chipping Hammer, Black

It’s a chipping hammer to remove slag from stick welds and/or flux core. It’s a chipping hammer …simple..but I did have to place a sharper chipping point on hammer. No big deal. Chipping hammer did it’s job..yes I’d buy it again.

I bought these to weld the handles to a grill i made. Works great, not sure of its chipping properties as to the head is now apart of my scrap metal pile.

This is a nice chipping hammer. It is as good as the Hobart version found at my local store and about 3/4 the price.

After welding, you 100% need this to help chip off the layers in order for the welds to come out clean, I would highly recommend this for first time welders if you need something efficient and affordable!
