Silver Nitrate Wooden Caustic Sticks Applicator 10/PS

This product came in excellent condition and on time. It was in a protective plastic tube. It worked extremely well as it was very potent. However, buyers need to take caution with this product. Unfortunately, I was very aggressive with the application of the silver nitrate stick and held it on longer than was necessary. It did burn my tongue and take longer to recover. Please take note and be careful!

I was a bit worried about using these because I had read that a professional should be using them. Husband had granulomas at the bottom of his stoma and no matter what I tried I could not get them to go away. I did start in the beginning being very minimal in use until I felt comfortable that I wouldn’t cause harm. I’ve used them now with three bag changes and granulomas are almost gone. You do have to be careful not to touch the stoma or any other skin not affected. You can see it work on the granulomas, it kind of turns a gray color. After treating, I just put the base plate on. In approx 3 days the treated part falls off in his bag. I’ll be keeping these on hand for future use.

I get canker sores when I’m stressed. On my tongue, inside my cheeks, it’s awful. They take over a week to heal, if not more and can make it impossible to eat. They’re mouth ulcers and it’s awful. Ive tried every single at home solution under the sun. Salt rinse, ice, gels, etc. and they gave temporary relief but that’s it. These guys… they’re the best. Hold it against the ulcer for as long as you can handle and they’re healing by the next day. Now warning; it hurts like a b. It’s cauterising an open wound. But a couple seconds of pain for canker sore relief is worth it in my opinion. The wound will turn white and peel like fish scales over the next two days but then it’s over. And the sore is gone.

Saw mixed reviews on these but I had a bad canker sore and was willing to try anything. Many reviews complained about no instructions being provided so I did some research. Must add a couple drops of water to activate the stick and make sure the area you are applying is completely dry. Not going to lie it is pretty painful but after a few minutes it provided instant relief and increased the healing process by about a week compared to my usual sores. Beware, the silver nitrate may also stain surfaces. Overall I am satisfied with the results.

The product arrived on time and is good quality

I had never heard of silver sticks, but my dogs acupuncture vet recommended them for some spots on my dog where she will rub a sore and it will bleed. I was amazed the first time that I went to use it how well it worked. It immediately stopped the bleeding. Since a great value for the price paid.

When I was a kid I had a really bad canker sore and we went to the store and got to kill stick and I remember it really really burned but it it fixed it so I had a horrible horrible canker sore so I decided to get another one of those pill sticks so I ordered one The burning is ridiculous but the daily pain of the canker sore was worse it's starting to feel better

Life savers, to have in your first aid kit! I have them in case I cut one of my dog's nail too short (and I wish I don't use them).
